This is a solid way to drive traffic but you can make it much easier on yourself if you download a tool called Buzz Bundle which tracks down all the blog, forum, social media and Q&A posts based on your keywords and then auto signs up for them and allows you to manually type and post a reply without leaving the software. It saves so much time and there's a free trial too.

It may feel a bit time consuming unless you deeply involved in the niche already, which would make it fun for you anyway, and less like work.

This is an interesting idea. You don't need too many alerts.

I had set a few Google alerts a long time ago with my keywords, but they stopped coming in. I don’t know if I should renew them. I simply abandoned this matter.

Simple information? Are you actively searching for 'complicated" information? Would that have suited you better? Did you learn a few traffic strategies that you hadn't come across before inside that WSO? The way I see it, I'd much rather spend 10 bucks on a 5 page report that solves a problem than a 100 page fluff filled report that I more than likely will never read.

To the OP. Yes, Google alerts is a great little tool to use and there's a hundred and one different ways to use it if you get creative. I's recommend setting up a separate email address just for Google alerts and punch in all sorts of keywords, not just phrases, but top marketers names and products too. You're only limited by by your imagination

Now when people read these discussions they will see your post and click on your link. Trust me - this works. Plus this traffic is SUPER targeted.

Anyway, let me know your thoughts and opinions on this and I hope you found it useful!

Great tips! I've heard this a couple times before as well. One thing I'd add is if you're planning to post to very active blogs you'd want to do it as soon as possible after receiving the Google alert. That way your post will be very high up on the page. Once several other posters get on there yours could easily get buried in the middle of dozens of others (or more).

I don't know many people that actually read many posts after a certain point. Know what I mean?

I am not sure how much traffic this strategy will drive but I am sure it is a very good backlinking process through which a variety of backlinks can be achieved. Which can be very helpful to get good ranking.

Great tip for sharing.
Though I don't drive free traffic these days, this method certainly worth trying..

My part in Sharing:
1. Don't ever try promoting your products In your post especially you are 1st time posting.
You do not want to be seen hard-selling.

2.Create good response/content to engage relationship.

3. Please don't write 1-2 liners..
Otherwise, They will not be bothered with your signature link
