Default Is it worth building an audio CD business?

Being biased on digital products, I'd like to diversify into physical products e.g. audio CDs using kunaki for fulfilment.

But is it worth creating such a business now? Are CDs on their way out like the original laserdisc?

Do you see a day when CDs, even DVDs are redundant?

I think there will still be a need for it to a degree. I have a couple of products that the older generation buy and they still pay extra to get the hard copy with CD's rather than the downloadable version.

I am on a lot of mailing lists here in the UK and can say that DVD and CD and CD-Rom are still selling like mad. People still like to get physical products.

I will be going into this area myself before long.

A simple message to ask you to visit my blog and see what you think.

Yes, I agree.

A lot of people still prefer physical CD's.

I do myself. It's a lot easier to use sometimes, as one isn't always at the computer.
