What's the best to do with Article as far as Article Marketing goes?

My knowledge on this is so 2006. Blast it on Ezine + other directories preferably with a tool or outsource it. Backlink to your site. Rinse and repeat 1 million times if you can.

How's the right way / effective way of doing it today?

You got an article, what do you do you for syndication? Do you still submit to top directories? or just some? just one?

or would that all be ignored now and just do guest blogging?

If you post it on your website and syndicate it - just make sure it gets indexed first on your website then blast it out.

I think a lot of people are still driving a lot of traffic with articles. I definitely remember reading some posts from Alexa Smith on the topic. She is pretty much always kicking a$$ and taking names.

I'm doing mostly video myself these days.

You didn't like the responses you got in this thread, which you started in January: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...nvestment.html

This is the kind of thing you do: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5035794

Just one (two if you like "belt and braces"). That isn't really syndication, though: it's just a stepping-stone to syndication. This thread (and the links inside it) will explain all of this in some detail: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5068872

Guest blogging is certainly good. I don't "ignore" article directories, myself, in that I still - eventually - put a copy of all my articles into Ezine Articles as an afterthought, after I've otherwise finished off using them for article marketing. I do still benefit from doing that, so it's a good and worthwhile afterthought for me. But it's only an afterthought. There's clearly no point in trying to generate potential customer traffic to my site from article directories (that would be counterproductive, in fact).

The links above will answer all these questions, really ... but I did say that in January when I offered you the very same links. Ah well, at least I'm consistent.

I recommend syndicating on sites that allow it and are a good fit for your article. They can be a boon of traffic and additional syndication.

I wrote an article and posted it on SocialMediaToday (free). It received hundreds of shares on Twitter, FB and Linkedin (as well as email). It also was re-posted and syndicated widely on several other blogs and sites. Just do a search for "How Content Marketing is the New Moneyball" on Google.

It ultimately brought a lot of traffic to my site listed in the sig file. There are many other similar sites to do the same thing. Obviously use solid un-spun quality content.
