Should I open my Amazon seller account under a different email?

I have an existing Amazon affiliate and buyer account already under one email address. I want to set up a seller account, should I do it under another email account to keep them separate?

Thanks, Joe

I have all mine under one email. The only time I had trouble was when they stopped allowing sellers to use the secret keys under AWS seller account for associates account. I had to open a separate account to get the keys to use (which is allowed). Other than that it has been easy to use one email as a buyer and seller. I rarely have to access the separate AWS account. I use the keys with a plugin with my Associates account and have never used the keys as a seller. And I like having everything in one place.

It probably doesn't matter as long as you do not have multiple seller accounts in the same household but it may be easier to just keep the same email for everything.

      Hi,

It doesn't matter but be careful with their rules regarding associates account. They can close you very quickly if something is not fine

Saw your journal about building Amazon niche sites in BHW but site would not accept my registration. Searched you out here in WF to contact you, but can't PM you since I haven't made 15 posts.

Could you please contact me thru athomebizsuccess@gmail.com to answer a couple of questions.

        Thanks,

        Mark

yes, you can use the same email ID, if you want. but It is better to use a separate email. I think it does not matter.

If there is a specific reason you want to keep your buyer and seller account separate (such as a family member uses your Amazon account to order products and you don't want them having access to your earnings record), then a secondary account could be the ideal solution. Otherwise, keeping both accounts in one place is a better choice as it streamlines everything you do.

I would stick to using one email account to keep it all together.

Amazon is becoming more of a social network with buyers who give feedback becoming well respected for their reviews and contributions to the Amazon product forum.

If you are a seller trying to get more attention to your own products, you will want to contribute in other ways by buying products and leaving very good feedback, videos, images and other helpful information even top ten lists for other buyers. Many times another buyer will click through on your username to see what else you have contributed and in doing so is likely to find out more about the products you sell there. This idea will work if you are offering products for sale through Amazon, not just using their affiliate program.
