Need to vent here for a second, my friends. That ok?

Well, this just started happening to me recently I guess because of "the recession." Or at least that's the excuse for everything these days.

Not only does it seem like product creators are paying out affiliate commissions later and later, BUT some don't seem to be paying at all. Some might plan to when the have the cash. AND I wonder if some of the people I'm an affiliate for are striking through sales and calling them refunds when they're really not.

Sure the recession effects SOME things, but please, you can't use it as an excuse for everything.

There's a recession going on? I guess I've forgotten to turn on the t.v. I honestly haven't noticed a difference.

Sorry to hear about your situation and hopefully that's not what is going on with your 'sponsors'. I'm sure it will get better.

      Thanks.

I'm actually making more money during the "recession" than ever so I know what you mean.

Ford and Rockefeller made their fortunes during the Great Depression.

...Why some product creators aren't paying out affiliate commissions, I don't know exactly, but I noticed it started happening to me when everyone started crying recession.

Imran is spot on. Fact is, recessions come around every 7 or 8 years like clockwork.
You just need to adjust your marketing to the market and give them what they want.

There shouldn't ever be any excuse for a vendoe not paying commisions to their affiliates. If a sale is made the affiliate should get their money. No question. Refunds do happen of course and maybe a little more in a recession but if you pick the right product and vendor (one with a consistently low refund rate) then you should find that you'll be making big bucks, recession or not.

If you have made a sale, they have the cash, they are just deciding not to send it to you. In the real world, this is called 'stealing'.

You might not like what I say - but I believe it.
Build it, make money, then build some more

That's not good - I hope you get the money owing to you Jason. I know one of my affiliate programs with Commission Junction I seem to be getting many more 'cancellations' than I use to.
