I think so, I buy stuff from Amazon all the time, and it comes with a packing slip.

Update: Just checked a packing slip and it has the product number and where to return it to. Someone could easily send it back to Amazon for a refund, then file a charge back with the C.C company. Amazon packages come marked and with receipt to the purchase.

so if the buyer see that I paid a much lower price than he paid wouldnt he want a refund then go buy it from amazon himself?

I wonder if there is a way to hide what I paid. I mean what if I was buying it for someone as a gift. I would not want them to know what I paid for it

Just a suggestion.

You can resell a lot easier services on eBay. Simply get some service from Fiverr and sell it for profit on eBay. :)

I bought my daughters Christmas gifts from Amazon as a gift, they just put the packing slip in a yellow Amazon envelope :D

Very risk method. I've done it before, and the time spent to make it work could be well spent creating a much more stable and profitable concept.

I just think of the reverse logistics if the item I sold on Amazon, that I sourced post-sale from eBay came in not as described, defective or late how it would mess up my DSR starts or Amazon rating.

Furthermore, if you drop ship it directly and input their address you lose out on capturing that customer for repeat orders and going directly to your suppliers on eBay. I remember a few customers get pretty pissed too whey they receive a package from some eBay seller with an invoice for a lower amount.

Even minor, non-infraction complaints from an eBay or Amazon customer or repeat "fruitless claims" have been known to freeze PayPal and suspend Amazon and eBay accounts when an issue does come up.

I don't know. It just seems like so much work to manage things you're not 100% in control of and doesn't make the best sense for the long haul.

Yes this can be risky. As an Amazon FBA seller I know how prices can change on Amazon so when you get the sale on Ebay the price you need to pay on Amazon may then be too high for you to have any margin.


Since the prices on Ebay are much lower for a lot of products I often buy items from Ebay and then sell them on Amazon for a good profit. At lease once I bought an item from ebay, the seller then bought if from Amazon and sent it to me buthe paid more than I did so he lost money. I know this because I can see the sales history on AZ with camelcamelcamel. I then took the item and sold it via FBA for a profit. Since I know the current AZ price, the sales frequency and competition there is very low risk to me on that type of deal.

Normally, not with arbitrage. The address is only the shipping address, not the billing address. You're buying it, but shipping it to another location.

Sounds like a fair bit of risk with little reward. There are specific drop shippers that I'd recommend using before using something like amazon.

Like others have said, send it as a gift and they will get a gift receipt with no price. Many people are now using Fulfillment By Amazon to ship their products, so them getting a product from Amazon isn't unusual by itself.

I don't think that it's a good long term strategy to build a brand, however. The real profits come in from repeat customers and I don't see any way to build up an email list or stuff advertising in the box with this method.

If you want to experiment with retail arbitrage, there will be plenty of opportunities coming up soon with post-Christmas clearances and sales.
