Is Is Possible To Convert Untargetted Traffic?

Yo hi warriors, just wondering if anyone has attempted this before. Using a general searched term, for example 'Britney Spears', direct the traffic from that keyterm to a blog/vlog about Britney, then place an opt-in form within the site, with a dating ebook as a giveaway product for signing up. Would the traffic convert ok? Since the keyterm is not targetted to the specific dating niche, but hey, all humans have dating/relationship problems right? Anyone having much or moderate success with this method? Thanks for sharing!

    With untargetted traffic, I think it is very hard to convert.
    I had a blog before that get 3-5 thousand untargetted visitor, but didn't make any money for me. I put CPA offer all around the blog, but didn't convert.

    It is not a very wise idea and your efforts should be focusing on trying to get 1 or two bits of targeted traffic. Untargeted traffic is pretty useless, you cant really force people to look for something that they are not looking for..... unless it really stands off the page (but then that's still only a maybe!)

    Targeting untargeted traffic never sounds like a good idea imo.

    I would suggest to throw in some CPA offers like free iphone, xbox etc to untargetted visitors as this FREE attracts everyone.
