Yes, I have experience. Their traffic is very poor quality.

    Move on.

You are referring to advertising on adfly?

I would not waste your time with that traffic.
It does not convert at all. Cheap traffic rarely does.

Use this if you want big subscribers list...
But you will not juice out any money from these..

And you will burst your wallet with autorespounder's bills.

    Good luck.

Yeah I would agree poor quality you are better off spending a little extra money and buying solo ads and actually getting real leads.

I thought i was onto something good with adfly, building a list of over 500 subscribers in around two days.

I only had around 12 opens in total so it was a total waste of money.

      Cheap traffic does not convert!

Ad.fly gets a poor rep because people don't understand how to get the best out of forced views

You need to think outside the box, people who convert ad.fly wont give you their method or any tutorial

From everything I read about this subject, people seem to have absolutely no difficulty converting ad.fly traffic to the point of those visitors subscribing to lists: they just seem to be impossible to monetize.

I'm trying to be open-minded on this subject. I won't ask what it is, but have you found a reliable way of monetizing ad.fly traffic, Trafficmasters, or are you repeating something that other people have told you?

I'll mention openly that I'm asking because I've never yet seen anyone, in a forum or anywhere else, claiming that they themselves have successfully monetized ad.fly traffic - it always seems to be their "cousin's friend's cousin" who's managed to do it, and I'm enough of a skepchick to be starting to wonder whether there might actually be a reason for that.

I am also trying to keep an open mind.

Adf.ly traffic should be no different than Ford Motors advertising on a news website. It is completely untargeted traffic and forced ad views.

I have seen people suggest that they have profited with adf.ly traffic themselves. They have hinted as to how they were successful using that traffic source, but they were short on specifics.

Every now and again, I toss a $20 bill at adf.ly to see if I can unravel the secret of adf.ly.

I have made conversions with it, but never enough conversions to make back my spend.

The unfortunate reality of adf.ly is that they can target countries via IP address, but as an advertiser, we never know how the link was constructed that is going to deliver a visitor to our offer. We cannot target our ads to a specific niche.

Since we know absolutely nothing about the audience that is seeing adf.ly advertising, we cannot really make an educated guess about what type of advertising to present to them.

Since we are clueless as advertisers, it seems like general consumer is the best thing to advertise with them. And from the people who I have read, who have said that they profit with adf.ly traffic, they have also hinted to niches like health working well with that traffic.

The only downside I see on this traffic is not that it is "cheap" as so many people have indicated. The problem is that it is untargeted, and it is hard to find offers and squeeze pages that work with super untargeted traffic.

Like you both stated the problem is targeting, what you want to do is use websites like alexa.com and quantcast.com to get an idea of who might be seeing your website

Ok so the majority seem to be males between 18-24 browsing from both home and school.

You now have a rough idea of what type of person is viewing your page, what do young males like?

          Games,Movies,New Technology,Music,Women,Dating

You could now create a few landing page based around one of these topics and split test the USA traffic to see how they react

          Example

Battlefield 4 is coming out soon right? So create a landing page related to battlefield 4 with a good layout, you could include adsense ads or bf4 amazon affiliate links

Or if you are smart about it, create a squeeze page for visitors to get "early beta information" or something similar You could then market any related gaming offers that come up (Call of duty,PS4,Xbox 720) or what I would do is wait till the clickbank guides start to come out for BF4 and you will have a major advantage on the other affiliates.

Vendors who create these guides are great at marketing and even include sales leaderboards with very good bonuses ($500,$1000 etc) if you have a few hundred or even a few thousand opt-ins then once the guide as launched, you mass mail your list and boom - top of the leaderboard, you now have funds to get into paid traffic and promote the guide using media buys, ppv buys and ppc

That's just one quick idea, you have to think outside the box.

I think adf.ly gets a bad rap on IM forms because everyone is sending traffic to the same boring "make money" or "work from home" page.

In my opinion this wont work out well (unless your goal is to sell these opt-ins as genuine high quality solo ad blasts )

These are young people who are tech savvy and understand that you want their email just to sell them stuff, they most likely filled in your squeeze page using their "throw away" email just to have a quick read of that "free" e-book you were offering in exchange for the opt-in

Its all about looking at what is trending and taking action, not every venture will be profitable but the most important thing is you learn

          Good luck

I used Linkbucks (similar to adf.ly if you don't know) and my CPA rate was like $20 compared to $5 elsewhere. So it didn't work that well for me.

There are plenty of things you can do with AdFly traffic, but selling them stuff isn't one of those things. We use them to take surveys, test banners, bullet-proof sales funnels, and see what the general population of a country wants. Other than that, not much value.

Made some good money with adfly. $500-$1000 a month. (blackhat) BUT that dried up after I was having trouble with one of my feeds and the numnut at adfly decided to click on a direct link. End of story. My bad anyway. I use it now to show my offline clients how easy it is to fake traffic.

Adfly with Double Opt In Works Very well, I have tested this traffic and Converted Very well with it. IF you buy the Top Tier Countries UK, USA, CANADA,GB, NZ and Put Double Opt in, You would be Surprised. I have found they do buy. Its not all about initial buying its what they will do on your list Longterm. Its what your cost per Acquisition is. If you spend $50, Buy the Top Tier Traffic and Put say 100 Leads on Your Account. If over a Period of 6 Months 2 or 3 People Buy something From you even if its a $9.95 offer Now all of a sudden your in the black. I have sent them smaller offers From JVZOO and they have bought its all about what your ADD Copy is. Hope that helps, If your Buying the Cheaper Countries that are like under $2 these Don`t Convert Very well. Anyways my 2 Cents. I had a lead off Adfly that I sold a High Ticket Product to him and he bought. and I made $1000 Commission. Anyways my 2 cents. Its Being Consistent with that Traffic
