Can personal URL's make you more money?

If you provide personal URL's to your prospects, do you feel it can benefit you?

What I am talking about is providing URL's like the following to your mailing list or other prospects.

Click each one and see how it customizes the each page.

http://john.doe.recipetraders.com/
http://www.jeff.jones.recipetraders.com/
http://bill.smith.recipetraders.com/

or

http://www.recipetraders.com/test/gary.jones
http://www.recipetraders.com/test/bill.smith

Try adding your own name combinations. If you don't put any name or not the correct number of variables it will auto insert a default name.

I have used personal URLs for my web design business on postcards I sent out to prospects. The responce rate increase about 1%, but the most valuable part was that I could track to see WHO responded. That way, I could follow up with the prospects that were interested enough to take a look at the website. From dong this I was able to close a big deal, and will definitly continue to use PURLs in the future.

The company I used to print the VDP postcards was FishDirectMail.com and the software I used for tracking PURLS was Purlem.com.

    mthomas9,

I did not even think about using PURL to track who actually went to the site. Thanks for posting that. I know how I'm going to use PURL next now.
