Anyone know of an autoresponder that can do this?

I would like to create an autoresponder that works like this....

A customer purchases a product from Clickbank using my affiliate link and he and receives a special order number from Clickbank. I want the customer to email me that order number (so I know he purchased it through my affiliate link) and I will send him a free bonus product that I created.

So, is there an autoresponder where I can create a specific email address that people use to email me the code. Then the autoresponder will automatically send them an email which includes a link to the free bonus as well as add them to my list?

I know most autoresponders use forms, but instead, I just want my customers to send an email to a specific email address and then they automatically get sent the bonus.

There is a way to kick your sign ups from one list to another.

But you appear to be looking to automate this where you'd need a script that can verify the clickbank code and then communicate that back to the autoresponder to proceed with emailing back download location.

I'm not sure this is possible without specific programming between your autoresponder service and clickbank.

Yes, I think you'd need to have something custom-coded to achieve this. I know that Aweber and possibly Mailchimp make their API available to developers for add-ons. It might be worth considering!

    Hi,

It is a nice topic that you have brought for discussion. I feel that WPResponder created by Rajsekaran can do it. It is basically a plugin that works very well. It is open source and you would need an expert in coding who can fix it for you.

It is possible, but it will require a custom programming job to set up.

Basically, you will need to pipe an email address on your server to a php script on your server. The php script will need to crawl incoming emails and look for the ClickBank Transaction ID, and send a custom email if the CB Trans ID is found, and forward to one of your emails that you check if the Transaction ID is not found.

Ok. So the vibe I'm getting from everyone is that it's not a plug-n-play thing that an autoresponder company could do and it will take more effort than I originally thought.

I'll have to think of something else....unless some really smart people on the Warrior Forum creates a script that does this kind of thing and they'll send it to me for free in exchange for the idea

It is easy to get an email to accept emails and send specific automated responses.

You can set up your Gmail account to do this.

Your problem is you need to validate the CB code before sending the reply and that is the tricky part.

How do you accept an email, check to see if it contains a code and then validate that code with Clickbank or PayPal before sending the reply?

There are affiliate companies that make this easier by allowing you to create your "own product" that is an affiliate product plus a bonus. (tpw says JVZoo does this)

So when someone buys with your affiliate link, the download page includes the affiliate product as well as your "bonus".

Clickbank does not offer this option.

The problem is that it is outside the scope of what autoresponder companies do.

With affiliate companies like JVzoo, they have the capability built in so that you can do that as an affiliate. ClickBank to my knowledge does not have that capability built into their system.

I am just an intermediate programmer. I have dabbled in that kind of stuff before, and it would take me at least an hour to code that from scratch.

Does the incoming email with the ClickBank receipt number have any effect on the content of the outgoing email from the autoresponder?

Or do you simply need to store that email and have a subscription triggered that is the same for everyone?

    Cheers,

This is actually something I'm trying to do for one of my clients. The outgoing email will be the same for everyone. It will provide a link to his bonus items as a gift for purchasing the clickbank product.

What he wanted to do was create a video that promoted a certain clickbank product. In the video he'd say how wonderful and helpful it is (he's actually purchased and used it himself). Then at the end of the video he would tell them "After purchasing the product from Clickbank, send an email with your Clickbank transaction ID to whatever@wherever.com and you'll receive my free bonus items."

Does anyone have any better ideas for giving away bonus items if they use your Clickbank affiliate links?

arpReach can do that right out of the box.

I'm surprised other autoresponders can't, to be honest.

Why cant you just have them forward over the receipt, and you process it manually?

How many orders are you doing?
