Need a niche to get started in

I am currently using clickbank for my MMO niche promoting e-business, to many refunds etc... I want a niche that won't get me to much refund, and easy to get started on. My MMO site is on 1st page of google that has 800,000 monthly searches on its main keyword so what niche should I move to? OPINIONS

Before moving on maybe it would be worth while to find something else that relates very closely to what you are ranking for already but wont get the refunds?

Like something outside of Clickbank or maybe software and not an information product?

    Just ideas...

I'm new here (just registered today, in fact), and am kind of a newbie, so you should take any advice I give with a grain of salt.

With that being said, I definitely think you should move away from info products, as Nathan has suggested. MMOs are a lot of fun (heck, games in general are a lot of fun), but I don't know how profitable they are. As a gamer myself, if I'm going to actually invest in something outside of the game, it better be one amazing product, or I just won't be happy.

Part of the problem might also be what you're selling. What kind of ClickBank products? Some of them come across as regurgitated PLR, and in my book PLR = Crap that you can find for free on Google if you look hard enough. Be careful that the info you're selling through ClickBank is actually worth putting a price on.

EBooks especially are usually not worth the price tag. I remember buying a book once (just a little table book) and thinking, "If this was an ebook, it would cost three times this much!" People price their ebooks outrageously. I once came across a sales pitch that was trying to convince me to buy some ebook that reasoned it was a huge discount to sell the 1,000 page pdf file for $46 if you think that each page would roughly normally cost $1. I nearly split my gut laughing at that one. Be careful of the price. When in doubt, ask yourself: What would I pay for it if it were sitting on shelves in a bookstore? Do you think any publisher would actually publish such a thing to begin with?

As for moving to a different niche, I'm not all that familiar with the MMO niche, so I have no idea how many people are actually looking to buy stuff for it. As a gamer, I tend to avoid buying things for my games if I can help it. Typically, it's my understanding that you should choose a niche where people actually want to buy things.

For example, one of my niches is prepper/survivalist stuff. This is a niche where people are willing and ready to spend lots of money. Trust me, my mom is a prepper and has filled her basement full of canned goods. They're also ready to spend in a hurry, because who knows when the economy will fail, aliens will invade, China will take over, martial law will be instilled, or the dreaded zombie invasion will finally happen, and your money will be worthless anyway. I'm not trying to make fun of preppers or survivalists (I'm kind of one myself, or else I wouldn't have chosen this niche), but the point is, you need to find a target that is ready to buy. They have cash or card in hand, and they need a good quality product to help them weather the upcoming apocalypse, or to help them fight back pimples, lose weight, gain muscle, make money online, invest in gold/silver, get a hole in one, etc.

Well, that's my $.02. Again, take what I advise with a grain of salt. I'm quite new at this, don't make much money, and am probably not qualified to give out any real advice.

If you're getting to many refunds, I would get a hype meter to find the problem. It could be hype, marketing tactics, or your promoting a bs product.

Go to the "search" feature of the forum, go to the "advanced" option, then do a keyword search by typing in "niches"......

......you will find a ton of threads that pretty much answer this question for you. You'll get a TON of niche ideas.

ThatOneGuy, I think you are misunderstanding. When he says MMO, he is not talking about "Massive Multiplayer Online" video games.

MMO in this case stands for "Make Money Online"

It's on the top of the third page, in my browser (position 21 - I admit that's higher than I guessed it would be).

It's much higher in yours, of course, because you look at it regularly and Google shows you the SERP's it thinks you want to see, based on your previous browsing history.

          (You have no opt-in? ).

Anyway, you might find a new niche this way, but if you do, make sure you have a prominently incentivized opt-in, if you want to sell ClickBank products, as you said the other day. This post will help you: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post7110523

If you need a new niche, we recently created a niche list for content locking: Ask Dr. Lock: Can You Give Me a List of Items to Content Lock? | Adscend Media Blog. Even if you don't content lock, the list may spark some ideas for you.

Your page isn't on page 1 of Google for 'ways to make money' on my browser, it's on page 4.

Also 'ways to get money' when I check it on Google keyword tool the monthly search volume is 880 global and 590 local exact searches not 800,000. I think you might have searched using 'broad' and not exact.

Besides promoting information products on Clickbank, have you ever thought of promoting other kind of products outside Clickbank?

Like physical products in Amazon or CPA offers in MarketHealth?

Physical products are what people like you and me buy everyday on shopping while CPA offers can enable you to earn without selling anything.

if you promote quality products with bonuses you won't get much refunds. Why not consider creating your own products based on your experience and sell them on clickbank rather than moving on to a new niche...

      to many refunds etc
I'd work on reducing the refunds.

Just because it is a MMO niche does not mean you have to have a high refund rate.

If you are already getting a lot of visitors per day and have this issue of getting lots of sales and lots of refunds then I would try to work with CPA offers that can pay you anywhere between $2-$5 per lead.

    Try that out.

If your site is already getting you traffic, you can make a nice income every single day. Then when it gets you consistent income with CPA offers for example, only then I would recommend that you look for other niches to sell.
