I want to be able to record webinars as sometimes
replays are not available. Is this at all possible with
inexpensive or free recording software such as Cam Studio
or Screencast-o-matic?

Thanks

I've used Screen Cast O Matic many times to record my own webinars...

Cool thing is that if you have the "pro" version you can also record the beta (audio). Just be sure to mute the mic

    Cheers,

      Hi Coby,

Will Pro version of Screen Cast record for 2 hours?

      Thanks

  • I'm not sure if you are on a mac or PC but Camtasia for the PC or Screenflow for the mac will allow you to record everything on your screen and also the audio track for as long as you have hard drive space for.

They may be a little bit more expensive but they are well worth it in my book. You can then also use them to create your own products which is where the real money starts to come in!

    Hope that helps

I use screenflow on a mac as a backup but also hit record on Go To Webinar - that gives you a clean recording with no chat box/control panel recorded which otherwise gets in the way if you move it over you slides when live.

Only problem with GTW recordings is the Codec isn't compatible with anything. Which means you can't edit it with Camtasia and you can't upload it to YouTube...

You'd think they'd get with the game already and update their codec to play friendly with the rest of the world.

      Cheers,

If you are on a Mac you can use quicktime to record, by default you can't record the audio of your computer but there is a plugin for quicktime to do so and I think there is no limit for the recording time.

hi guys, curious if you would see value in a custom app that would allow you to schedule the recording of a webinar - ideal if you have conflicting appointments preventing you from joining the webinar?
