Micro-Continuity - Weekly or Monthly?

I'm starting a new micro-continuity program where I'll be delivering weekly videos to my subscribers and I'm debating on whether to charge $5.95 per week OR $27.00 per month. Program will be 16 weeks long
Does anyone here have any experience, knowledge, or data they'd be
willing share in regards to this?

    Charge by the month, deliver weekly.

    This is good for two reasons.

    1) They don't feel like they are paying you as often, and therefore they don't keep the price in their minds as long.

    2) It feels like you are GIVING them information for free since you aren't charging them them each time they get something from you so they'll reciprocate by giving you more money aka staying with you longer.

    What about the idea that the size of the charge is easily overlooked if it's a small amount (i.e. $5.95 is a much smaller amount than $27)?

      I believe your pricing point depends on your market. The good thing about micro-continuity is that once you have everything completed, it is basically an auto-pilot system.

      As far as a smaller weekly amount vs. a larger monthly amount...humans are "programmed" by the month. How many bills do you pay by the week? I believe that paying by the month is the most natural way for us to pay for a service.

      A simple and common method to get around any pricing hesitations is to break it down on the sales page for them.

      $27 a month = less than $7 a week (the price of a paperback book) = less than $1 a day (change in your couch), etc.

      We, as humans, have a dislike of letting go of something we feel we worked hard for, but we love to receive valuable stuff as often as possible.

      Therefore, make them pay you less often while you give to them more often.

    will have to invest in making it happen.

    Don't sell yourself short.

    Ask for a higher price.

    Split test prices.

    I recently split tested 5 different prices for my coaching program.

    The highest price out performed the other 4 by wide margins.

    Plus, the more you charge, the less people you'll have to service
    which is always something to keep in mind.

    But definitely go with the monthly instead of the weekly just as @woody already suggested.

    They have enough stuff getting taken out of their credit cards, bank accounts, and
    paypal accounts. Why hit them 4 times a month?

    Russell Brunson had a ustream video on this just recently...he recommends a weekly charge, with a limited timetable: i.e $7/week for 12 weeks with some bonus at the end vs $30/month forever...

    Hi

    I can give you my two cents worth I don't have any documented results, but the general average for subscribers staying active is 3 months. Price seems to be a secondary factor. Value is the real key. I seem to have the same subscriber retention with my $9.95 a month products as I do with my $37.00 a month products.

    I agree with Woody. I'd only add that if they are getting billed weekly, then they are reminded weekly to decide if they are getting their moneys worth. One week where the content may not be as good, and they have an excuse to opt out.

      Yeah... and if it were me, I'd be a bit annoyed with 4 charges per month showing up from the same place, especially if I missed out on checking the content a few times. Kind of builds the pressure a bit... in my mind at least.
