$5 Logo Designs

Hey Guys,

I was thinking of starting a website that had high quality logo templates available for download for $5. You could either download them 1 at a time for $5 or you could pay a yearly fee of $29.99 for access to all 50 logos (maybe more).

The logos would be in .AI or .PSD format so they could easily be edited. I would then offer services for customizing the logos for a small fee.

Can anyone think of any improvements on this idea or ways to possibly promote it? I would obviously like to promote it here as a WSO and have an affiliate program for it.

    You could post this on Fiverr and sell the yearly membership as extra gigs.

    It's hard to get something going with fiverr at the moment if you're not a reputable seller yet.
    So the only promotion idea for now would be launching it as a WSO?

      Well I would also attempt PPC/SEO which I'd image I'd have to spend a lot of money on considering how competitive the logo design niche is. I would also try taking out spots on buysellads.com. I just wonder if there are any other forms of promotion that are less risky/expensive. Doing a WSO is a nice easy way to get the word out for only investing $40.

        There are some IM forums out there that have a marketplace or at least a buy/sell section. That can be a cheap way to get in front of an audience of buyers.

      Not every "beginner" has $40 to throw down as an investment, so Fiverrs a good bet. But you can really increase sales if you add a video!

    What about adding a page showing samples of your work ? They can be watermarked first though.
    Also a warrior here Kindsvater has a thread (forget where) with a list of 100 places you can sell your services as wso.
    In addition there are a lot of other Fiverr type sites.

    Think for a second! there are thousands of internet marketers and designers. If your $5 is worth more than $100 then why not use it. personally I will. So the main thing is your quality and standard. Do not worry about marketing first! It will happen automatically since we are all internet business man know each other in many ways.

    There are lot of gigs on fiverr about making logos for $5, They Provide high quality logos plus Maintenance Plus satisfaction of the customer for 5.

    I think it will be a competition for you as they are are lots of such services people offering very cheaply and with full quality and you're asking for extra cash in order to develop the logo. So I think you should first Provide the logos for a very cheap price and when you have some leads and people Talk about you and refer you in their services, you may then Increase your price and get a full time work.

      I believe my portfolio speaks for itself. Portfolio | Logo CanyonLogo Canyon is where you can see a few. I just think that adding the business model of buying 1 template for $5 or all of them for $29.99 could really add to the business.

      I think the logo design business itself could have been very successful itself, but we couldn't get a successful adwords account running and that was after I hired the most experienced professional adwords manager I could find on Elance.com :confused:

    Also, I am not really looking to sell on fiverr. I want it to be more of a site where someone can go and download whatever they want at their own will, not something where I would have to serve as an intermediary.

    Another thought - since you are essentially selling PLR to logos and then giving the buyer the PSD file - you can either upsell the customization (at a lower overall cost than purchasing a logo outright) or a teaching series of how to do the customization yourself using Gimp as a free program.

    Or make a website where you share them for 100% free, you then spread the word and accept donations + adsense. Low maintenance model with no customers to worry about or the need to go copyright enforcing, etc.

    I have seen this before and it works well.

    I recommend starting a blog that provides free designs via blog posts on a weekly/bi-weekly basis. Allow people to subscribe so that they can get on your mailing list for any free stuff.

    At the end of every post, place a small ad for your product. People will buy it if they want the entire package instead of having to wait for one per week. They may also need specific graphics which are readily available in your package.

    How to set it up? -- add a subdomain blog installation and include your membership there.

    The search engines will send you tons of traffic if you keep pumping out posts. Customers will love you for giving them free stuff. You gain brand name recognition and can expand your options from there. It's a win-win situation for everyone.
