Is it worth buying a parked domain name thats not indexd in Google

Hi guys i have found a good domain name .com registerd in 1999 however its a parked page and its not indexd in Google, I want to buy and develop in to a website is this risky? thanks guys i have had domain in the past that have been deindexd and simply could not index them i tried every thing social bookmarks manual submittion WP site mape the lot.

    You should be alright but you must investigate what the domain was used for in the past. How do you know it has been parked all this time?

    I would start by checking to see if any backlinks exist that are directed at the domain. Look at the whois information and see if the person you are talking to is actually the owner. As long as you can’t find any suspicious info on the domain, odds are its ok to proceed. If however you find that there are hundreds of old spammy backlinks pointed at it you would want to steer clear of it.

    You can use tools like open site explorer or majestic seo to check backlinks,

      Hi mate thanks it has no backlinks i checked were you said and i also checked Alexa i think im going to buy it now thanks a lot also just to let you know the domain i did have problems with indexing a few years back it did have spammy backlink history it was a expired one. This one is costing me $1,000 but i guess if its not indexd your still taking some sort og gamble thanks guys. if anyone els has comments on this please post.
