Membership stick rates

I'm looking for ideas on how to increase membership stick rates. I know the first thought that will come into some weisenheimer's mind is 'just provide more value and they'll stick around'.

I know.

More value is good.

What I'm looking for are ideas on how to DELIVER more value.

For example, I've got a dog training site that has tons of video training that gives a lot of value. I know it gives a lot of value from customer feedback and from being in the industry for so many years I'm very aware of what people want/need/look for.

My stick rates for my membership site aren't as good as they could be because I don't think I'm as good as I could be at helping them understand the value they have. I think they get into the site and see a crap-ton of videos and feel overwhelmed that they don't really get started. What I'm looking for are ideas on:

- How to format a site so that people want to engage and dig into the content?
- What types of things get people coming back and using the site?
- What types of email sequences do you use to encourage more usage?
- Etc.

I continue to add more and more value to the site I just don't think I'm presenting it in a way that encourages people to take advantage of the value. I'd appreciate feedback.

Thanks.

So you're not selling anything? Just free stuff, if so categories the content, much like videojug or other sites with a ton of videos. Search box, maybe tags, etc.

Categories with subcategories is best and easy to understand and navigate the website.

Try to make site more entertaining also if you want them to enjoy it, a blog with some funny dog pics and stuff less serious is great.
As I mentioned, I am adding new stuff.

And, yes, I am selling the membership site.
