INTERNET MARKETING

Added a piece of code to my site last month, thought I'd test how it affects my visitors behaviour. It's basically just a few lines, simple java script that simulates a calculator, and a note for people to bookmark it.

This alone boosted returning visitors rate by 25%. lol, which is awesome for 10 minutes of work

Jogging Benefits, Aerobic Exercise, Benefits of Jogging - the calculator is near the bottom of the page

All I wanted to say is that it takes just a little creativity to stand out from your competition - few lines of code and something original might do it!

Great piece of advice Zannix. I am going to test this also on a site in the exercise niche. Have you tested putting the calculator above the fold?

  didn't touch it since I last put it there, I didn't really expect anything to be honest, because I don't focus much on the site anymore, and the idea has been on my mind for some time, so I decided to do it, what the heck.
  
  but i'm pleasantly surprised because I have more than a few ideas on how I could use this approach in various other niches that I have sites in.
  
  i think the idea of a calculator/form + bookmarking note is a winning combo

The calculator is so far down the page below the fold and doesn't really stand out all that much so I would be very reluctant to say that change was responsible for the increase in your returning visitors. I think that's probably being a little presumptuous.
