Delayed sales letters, hatin' it or lovin' it?

Got to hate those video sales letters, with the actual delayed sales letter popping up when the video finishes. Just want to do a quick scan through some times, but this limits me. What's your opinion?

    I agree, but I am not in their target market.

    If I was in their target market, they wouldn't do sales pages like that. :p

      If you are looking to see what this next hyped software is about? Don't you just want to scan trough to the letter, instead of waiting for the 15+minute video to pass..?

      For your situation.. A Kindle software perhaps.. Let's just imagine if that exists.

        Yeah, that is my point.

        I don't want to sit through a 15-minute video to see if I want to buy a product or not, and I won't.

        If the seller doesn't give me the chance to purchase their product without my first sitting through a 15-minute video, then the seller obviously does not want my business, so I must not be in their target audience. :p

    I think it's just another strategy that a lot marketers are using right now, Personally a hate when that happens... but maybe using this strategy you'll find better conversions...

    As a customer, I hit the "back" button immediately.

    As an affiliate, I don't dream of sending my traffic to pages like that (after what my own subscribers in a wide range of unrelated niches have so consistently told me they think).

    As a marketer in general, I agree with the entire consensus of opinion in this thread: http://www.warriorforum.com/off-topi...o-content.html (I mean "entire" apart from the opinions of one or two people with financial interests of their own in promoting "video services", natch ).
