$1,000 in one month: Can it be done?

Hello, fellow Warriors!

I have a friend who wants to know if it's possible to make $1,000 in one month with internet marketing. He's willing to go black hat, white hat, whatever it takes (as long as it doesn't involve breaking the law, obviously)!

What would you recommend to him? He has zero prior experience in any of this and sort of needs the $1,000 to get out of a terrible debt.

Any and all ideas appreciated, I've already told him about AdSense, Clickbank, article marketing, etc. but I haven't really gone into depth about those things with him!

I see that there are still people who believe in quick and easy money. Good luck.

I doubt if you...er...he can even learn all he needs to know in one month, let alone put it to use, unless he has a mentor take him by the hand walk him through it every step of the way. It's work, just like anything else.

Yes it is possible. But working from desperation is not a good thing.

I mean, a goal of a fast $1000 is not how you build a business.

Best thing is to find a job. As stated above even a part time job
can get that in one month.

But Black hat white or what ever is the wrong way to go!

    Why not ask

"What kind of value can I provide?"

"What am I am expert at?"

    "What am I passionate about?"

Start from there and then take the next logical step.

Black hat white hat etc.. but not breaking the law.

Come on, a person can move to parts of Las Vvegas and become a legal prostitute
and make $1000 and not break the law.

but if you are not providing value to the world in a psotive way and soing something
that you are passionate about, then what is the point for "money."

I know I opened up a big hole for a lot of jokes there, but I am making a point.

There is no GET RICH QUICK.

It takes a game plan to start a business online. But first you need to be stable and
the best bet is a part time job to ease the stres while you start building your
    online business.

    That's my advice.

Of course it is possible, seems a bit of a stupid question considering your on a forum that obviously makes MUCH more than $1,000 per month for the owners/staff.

It is not a get rich quick scheme though, the schemes that you could use are generally dated now and it is now time to put the hard work in learning how to put the techniques and strategies in place.

First you need to focus on one particular way of making money online, will it be affiliate marketing, blogging, freelance writing, design, coding? Then take a month to learn about it, AT LEAST a month. Its taken me about a year and a half and I am still learning, there is so much to learn.

Then when you feel you know enough, put it in to action and start making a return on all your hard efforts.

If he has no IM skills and doesn't know how to build websites, I would tell him to start writing articles.

Pick a niche (or several) and start writing 8-10 per day. Selling them at $4 (more or less) would cover the goal. Even if he doesn't have buyers lined up, keep writing or he will get behind. Sell them here or on DP.

It is possible but in short what everyone here is saying is that this person should be able to add value to the lives of people that he wishes to sell to. This can be done in a variety of ways but each oif them has its own learning curve.

This person should therefore take the time to do the research and learn how he wants to promote this value to people.

There are people on this forum that will help and this may shorten this learning curve but he will need to be organised and a self starter.

It is possible .. if you know what you're doing .. there are a lot of details that go into SEO, PPC even black hat techniques that I don't think can be mastered and overcome by a newbie in one month.

However, if he wants a quick buck, I recommend associated content, and with 6-8 hours per day writing articles he'll surely make $1000. He can also offer his services as a freelance writer and still make $1k. However it's a lot of hard work .....oh well

I think he is asking is it possible to make $1000 in one month from the get go, with no experience.
That is tough. Not impossible, but tough.
I read through the threads and suggesting he tries articles etc, where he's being paid per hour or quantity of product sounds more like a job to me. He may or may not be including that.
If you include task based paid for play possibilities as well, then its not that hard to make a grand. Find someone that wants to hire with a task you can do well, and away you go.
Not sure he had that in mind though.
If we're talking a grand in a month with an online business of some kind, the only way to circumvent the required skill set necessary, is to hire out most of the net tasks.
So that having been settled, what to do to make a grand in a month?
Why, do a WSO of course
Create a high quality product in whatever the person has high knowledge in, and sell it as a PLR to members here.
      Net marketers love PLR.
If that hasn't made the grand, do another
It will obviously require some work, depending upon how fast you can create the product.
I would suggest surveying people for what kind of PLR they would prefer based upon the guy's own knowledge.
Say he knows how to play guitar and can teach how to play. And he knows how to play tennis and can teach what to do to have a good serve. And he knows how to manage people. Let members decide which they would prefer to buy.
      And away you go

    Hey iwanttomakemoney,

Yep, it's definitely possible. $1,000 a month comes down to $33 a day roughly. $33 a day is quite achievable with article writing itself. One can also get jobs like forum posting, blog commenting and they're not as hard to do. Every bit will add up.

Once he has around $600, he can keep $300, and for the rest $300 get a complete sales page, an eBook and a domain name + hosting. Flip it for $600. Then repeat and scale it up, follow what mike_filsaime said, and he won't have this situation again. :-)

Advice him to build a solid business, not a quick money maker.

Yes, it can be done, but it'll take time and effort. There's no quick way to make money, but with hard work dedication and a structured plan you will be on the path to true sucess. Find a program that you believe in (research it first) and stick to it.

    Good luck

Offline marketing might be a better option. You send out a letter to 20 or so local businesses, 3-5 will respond, and you offer to put up a lead capture mechanism on their site at a couple hundred a pop.

Google "stupidly simple cash cow", it explains everything!

    Hi

I suggest giving your friend the gift of reality. $1,000 a month on the internet is very very very doable, but the reality is, you need to give yourself time to actually learn how. Trying to make money on the internet out of desperation is a recipe for failure.

As an instructor at iClick University, I see students take 1-2 months to develop a solid business following a solid plan. Then they go on to make way more than $1,000 a month because they've built a solid business foundation.

I suggest your friend get a job in the short term and build an internet business on the side, so he doesn't ever have to be worried about debt again.

    Enjoy your day!
    Terry

It's not quick and easy money! $1,000/month is a very obtainable number, however, it's more important to maintain that number without additional work.

Let me tell you guys something. I quit Internet marketing in 2003 to join the US Navy. I quit because I felt I was successful and wanted a bigger challenge. I had my calling in the military. I reached E-5 while I was in; so, not bad considering most people get out as E-3 or E-4. However, while I was in, I was not completely happy.

After just 1 year without Internet marketing, I broke down and started writing my own ebook. It took me an entire year to finish it and another several months to finish the site. You just DO NOT have time when you're in the military and half-way around the world from your soul mate. If I found the time to do it, anyone can.

Anyway, when I launched that site, I had made $1,000 in my first HOUR.

It's no miracle or magic pill to take. It's time, energy, money (not much), persistence, knowledge, mistakes and a huge amount of ACTION. There's really a lot more, but I've broken them down to just these things.

I'm now working on multiple projects. One in particular is a 2nd version of that ebook I wrote in 2005. It will be called "Knowledge is Potential Power". It's not done and I may not have time to finish it until the end of summer, but I can't wait to release it.

I see that kind of advice frequently when threads like this one pop up.

Of course, we also see a lot of threads by people talking about the fact that the articles they bought were lousy, didn't produce results, were delivered late (if at all), required significant rewriting, etc.

Don't forget the ones that talk about how tough it is to find a good writer in the big ol' sea of amateurs and hacks.

    Maybe there's a connection.

Earning $1000 via Internet marketing in one month for a total neophyte? Possible but not probable. Earning a $1000 in one month from a part-time or full-time job? Highly possible.

Even 50 odd-jobs at $20 per job around the neighborhood would be more probable.

Just don't blow smoke up his... well, you know the saying.

I'd tell him to write some articles.

If he charges $5 an article, he needs to write 200 articles
to get to the $1000 mark. If he does 6-7 a day, he'll make
    it in a month.

Outside of that, making a $1000 online for someone who's
    never done it before?

    Just don't see it happening.

    Sorry.

I wrote an ebook and offered it up for sale in a forum and received $1000 within 24 hours. So most of your friend's time should be spent researching his/her market and writing a report and looking for ways to communicate with that market. My results were from the forum only and so that was without any list and didn't even need a site.

Once you have this kind of a proof that your product is something people clamour for then you can start building content pages and a mini site to generate that kind of income on a daily basis.
