aweber deliverability?

Hey,

I just did 2 broadcasts yesterday and they failed miserably..

Any recent deliverability issues with aweber?

    Some days it seems to be no problem.
    Maybe you should contact the support Aweber for this problem.

    Have you got any stats?

    Unless you know your amount of opens, etc then it could have just as easily been a subject line or email body that sucked.

      Were not delivered? Or were not opened/read/clicked?

    As others have said, you really need to clarify 'failed miserably'.

    Also bear in mind that 'open rates' is a flawed metric because most of the major email providers like hotmail, gmail and yahoo etc block images by default. If a person opens your mail but doesn't authorize images, or hasn't previously, then it won't register as an open on aweber, or any other AR.

    It's a good idea to include a logo or similar at the top of your email. That way the receiver can see there's obviously an image and, as long as they trust mail from you, will authorize images to be shown. Just having the tracking image alone could make the email look suspicious as the receiver can't see a blocked image, unless they look closely.

    Doing something as simple as this could improve your reported open rates. Of course your open rates wouldn't have really changed that much... just the reported rate.

    Email delivery can be affected by a number of factors. With a shared service like aweber, it could be that some one of their members have messed up with a single IP address and all other members sharing that IPs are also affected.

    It does not always mean problem can be across the board, but that particular IP address only that is assigned to your account. If I was you, I would talk to their customer support to get my account moved to a different IP address.

      Samesies. All test emails I create are going straight in to the spam folder. Aweber is messed up. Have sent support an email and I'm waiting.

      To clarify:
      > Got a reputable domain
      > I'm not listed in Spamhaus
      > I get very low compaints
      > Usual open rates are 65%+
      > I email regularly etc etc

      Tips from anyone who's had this problem in past with Aweber deliverability and emails being marked as spam would be appreciated.

    It would seem the obvious, but are you on your own list? If so, did you get your broadcast? I say this because I had a concern about the deliverables just a few days ago until I put myself on the list. It appears to be working fine for me.

    Well, I am only on the testing stages of sending my broadcasts and to be honest the deliverability to Yahoo pretty much sucks big time. I am even thinking about switching to get response but I am not sure if they also have this problems.

    Do you guys know if GR actually sends properly to yahoo mail?
