You probably heard about Sony's case where it was said Sony had Spyware installed on legitimate software owner computers... Now we've got this document about the FBI using Spyware to track Extortionists and Hackers for Years You could argue about the validity of those acts and the root cause as much as you want. You could use AntiSpyware tools and hope they do close those loop holes. But you probably can't escape the question: Is google using Spyware to Track you down? How would you define Spyware in Google's case? The mere fact you login to your google account and do mails, ad tracking and publishing and so on, is kind of what a spyware would love to know about you. Google has all the data and the power to analyze, but it won't use the data for any non-legit cause, since it wants to keep making money legitimately. So we all use Google and rely on the fact Google is a legit business. And yet, what are you doing to protect your "Privacy" just in case, while using google? P.S. Here is my previous Computer Help post regarding "I have to format your computer - does this freak you out" |
