Monetize free plugin

Hey all

need some advices from the warriors
we'v launched a free wp plugin with some good feedback.

now we'r trying to monetize it.
we have a couple ideas but would love to hear your thoughts.

    You can monetize it with a more advanced version of this plugin which actually will be a paid version of your plugin. Something like light and pro version.

    If you give us more info about your plugin maybe we can think about more ideas?

    It would probably help if you told us what the plugin does.

    Alexdaner's idea is a good one. You can also use it to build a list by adding a registration feature.

    I have seen free plugins with adverts in that link off to other products. One I was testing last week had an advert in it (big image thing) to a hosting company via, I guess, an affiliate link.

    Guess they must make something from that.

      Ok this is probably done using a custom menu, I have a php script that helps you to create one in both plugins and themes I was thinking of launching as a wso but haven't decide yet as I am not sure if the demand will be there although you can create links to your own or affiliate products. You can use either text links or rotating banner links
