Why You Should Build A List

Hey everyone so I am always seeing new people ask what is the #1 thing they need to start doing. Sure enough everyone always gives the same answer build a list!

My guess is none of these new people actually do b/c they just dont see why.
Well let me explain - First all companies have a list. Do you think that WalMart doesn't know who shops at there stores? or have you ever bought online guess what they need your email and they are going to send you promotions. All companies have a book of business why should yours be any different.

Now lets look at some stats:
I ran 2 test over on Bing PPC they had the exact same ad & keywords but to 2 different landing pages. One with no squeeze page and went straight to the offer I was selling and the other with my squeeze page.

No Squeeze Page:
0 email leads
155 clicks
2 sales = $80

Squeeze Page:
48 email leads
162 clicks
3 sales = $120 with no emails sent
+2 sales = $80 after 2 follow up emails.

Not only did I make more money but I have a way to keep contacting those people who did not buy something & the ones that did I can try to get them to sell the "diet pill" in a month or so to make commissions yet again.

When you are paying for traffic, make the most of your money and get more than just a click. Get a name, get an email, get something! Otherwise just take out your liter and burn your money yourself.


Do yourself a favor and start building your list this weekend

      Your list is your greatest asset in IM IMHO. When G slaps you - there's your list, when You Tube come down with their eventual slap - there's your list, when someone tanks your site with negative seo - there's your list.

    In other another few years email will perhaps be the only source of traffic marketers without deep pockets will be able to access. Google has already started the process of commercializing completely the organic results; FB has made marketers personas no grata; social media is way too noisy to make an impact right away.

    With all its complexities and challenges, Email remains, the way to go.

    I was always doing things like SEO, SMO to get more and more views to my websites so I can make ad revenue or sell things... I made a lot of money, okay... but these ventures always ended up in similar ways: Google slapped my site, Social Network f**ed up something, Ad Network banned me (always 1 day before the payout date), etc...

    Why I like e-mail marketing? No f**ing one can f**k with me anymore!

    So I keep building my list and singing:

    This is my list. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
    My list is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.

    my life and whole business changed when I built lists and segregtaed them.

    List of freebie suckers - ok

    List of buyers!! - *looks down* holy smoke I just got an errection

    I guess you get my point. LOL

    I work as a tax preparer for a tax preparation firm and even they ask for your email address to be able to offer more products and services to you. So, if a firm that works mostly 3.5 months out of the year is trying to get your email address....how much more important for someone that works every day out of the year????

    Yeah, your email list is something that noone can take away from you with an algorithm change etc.
    I wish I'd started building a list when I first started, rather than just trying to direct people straight to a product or looking for the next shiny object.

    I am new on this forum and used to do upfront sales without list building previously, but yesterday after reading some things i totally changed my mind and i'm going to capture my every single traffic from now on!

    List building is the only relevant way to make money in Internet Marketing. If you have an email list that you keep growing, you will be successful. However, its much better to have a targeted email list of buyers.

    I am always amazed to see websites without an optin box. Even the ones that have been online for a few years. As well, most newbies make that mistake and then they struggle on without seeing any results.

    Email list is a must for a business to survive. But just having a list does not mean that one is going to make a ton of money.

    If you don't nurture your list, if you constantly bombard it with offers you will lose most of your subscribers or, they will not open their emails.

    If you can strike a harmony between providing valuable info to your list and valuable offers to your list, you'll win.
