Hi,

I'm fairly new to IM and I keep getting emails regarding "Niche Site Kits", where you have a few niches, with premade websites to upload, ebooks and articles, graphics etc.

The cynic in me wonders:

A - Why they are so cheap if they are so profitable to the authors?

B - if they are on general sale, how many other people are going to be setting up the same websites with the same material. In my mind, even 10 people competiting with the same material would make it useless (but I may be wrong!).

Could anyone give me feedback with their experiences of these Niche Kits?

All the best,
Derrick

Not everyone who enjoys making a website/blog enjoys setting one up or keeping it updated, so they make them and sell them.

Not all people who enjoy setting up or updating a website/blog know how to make one from scratch by picking a niche or topic and doing all the "grunt work".

I think of it like this, some people like to bake but don't eat sweets so they open a bakery so they can enjoy baking and sell what they bake. Some people like sweets, but have no desire or talent at baking so they frequent bakeries to enjoy the baking efforts of others.

    Win/win situation. No?

You could argue why go buy a burger at McD's when they're cheap & easy to make at home? Or why would anyone sell a complicated invention to the public when they could just keep it all for themselves? (Think where we'd be if Thomas Ford or Alexander Graham Bell had thought selfishly like that.)

There are some very good timesaving niche turnkey products being sold. Yes, they make the sellers money, but so what? Unless you plan on doing it all by yourself, you might find they give you a headstart on your business.

You might also reassess and reconsider your cynicism in this matter. seriously, not everyone is out to "get" you. LOL

    Just a thought.

And as for competition, how many fast food restaurants, bakeries and car companies exist? Name one industry in which there is only one company. There are none. get over it. LOL

The thing with this is to pick a niche that you know something about or, learn about it, then use PLR to help you write or produce a product about it IMHO.

      Thanks for your feedback.

Just a point - I am not convinced that these Niche Kits are a rip-off!
I want peoples feedback on using them.
I mentioned that the "cynic in me" wonders about whether they're worthwhile, the cynic is only a part of my overall persona...

I really need to know if anyone has found these Niche Kits to be profitible, they have certainly got my interest!

I also wondered, if other people are buying them and using exactly the same graphics, PDF's and content - how can it be viable?
In other words - if 150 people buy the same content for a "Dog Training" niche - then you will get 150 almost identical sites with almost identical content...

First, not all of the buyers take action with it. If 150 people buy the pack but only 10% actually deploy it then that means only 15 sites. Some people buy packages and never use them for one reason or another. For example, some bundled packages I buy have health care related niches along with 'dog training' or 'home improvement' type niches. I don't like to working health care niches for personal reasons so I wouldn't use it.

Next, not everyone knows how to compete or doesn't compete in the same way. For example, one person may sell to a list, another uses SEO and another uses PPC to drive buying traffic to their site. Others may set up a site but fail at bringing in buyers. This further reduces the number.

It is best to put your own unique spin on the site by switching up graphics or making other minor changes to set your site apart somewhat. Also, if you know you're competing against others, you'll need to stay one step ahead in the marketing method you choose.

    Derrick, Hello!

Les has sound advice and I will say this after being in Biz for many years. It's not the competition you need to worry about because the marketplace is huge! What you need to worry about is you... and how, you can set yourself apart from the competition!

It may be something as simple as top customer support or providing a little extra value ( additional product or free service ) to your would be customers. Convey that in your sales message and most modern customers will know the difference your trying to make. Good Luck!
