Hi there..
I want to know if it's possible
(if i want to make a squeeze page and generate traffic to it and building my list)
and ligall to share a PLR/MRR ebook , but to add my links (in the file)

And..Do I need to put my name on the file, or , since it's PLR/MRR product , just to leave the author name on it?

You should have a license file with the product. That will give you your specific rights.

    However in general
MRR means you can resell it and keep all the money but you must leave it exactly as it is without any editing at all.

PLR means you can resell it and keep all the money and you can edit it in any way you like and it is usual to add your name in place of the original authors (claim authorship) name if it is there.

Do check the license though as some PLR can be more restrictive than others

      Hi,

With each PLR or MRR product, you'll have a file called license.txt or license.pdf or something like that. Go, and check that file. If there is a Yes corresponding to the field "Can be edited and your name put on it", then, you can change the author's name or edit the package even though it is not a PLR product.

You should check the license file that comes along with the product. I would just like to add to what Tony said.

      1) Master Resell Rights (MRR) - you can also pass on the resell rights to your customers, who can again sell the product without editing it.

      2) A typical Private Label Rights (PLR) license should read like this:

      [YES] Can Be Sold
      [YES] Can Be Packaged
[YES] Can Be Offered As a Bonus
[YES] Can Be Added As Web Content
[YES] Can Be Used For Product Creation
[YES] Can Be Added To a Paid Membership
[YES] Can Be Used As Autoresponder Series
[YES] Can Be...The Limit Is Your Imagination
      [YES] Can I Also...YES :-)

As has already been mentioned before all PLR licences are different, however one thing to watch for specifically is that a lot of the higher quality PLR sellers state in their licence that you are NOT allowed to name them as the authors, and therefore you must either leave it authorless, adopt a pen name or put your own name to it.

I'm not sure about "way more great."

Some MRR can be a bit flexible - ie some of them will let you add your name to the sales page.

PLR tends to give you the most control but with that is can be more work to edit it sometimes and you want to be careful about the freshness in some cases.

MRR can be more easily connected back to the original source of the materials which can give better credibility depending on who it is from.

MRR can also be loaded with affiliate links where the original author ends up having you do lots of free promotion for them.

Here's something to do if you can find some good PLR reports on the topic you're using to build your list.

I call it the PLR Killer Method! (how to brutally murder PLR for massive profit!)

Basically, you get hold of a load of PLR E-books on a common theme then take them down to just 10% of the total content, E.g. take a 40 page PLR eboook down to just 4 pages of the absolute best stuff (content) and give that away.

It's easier than just starting from scratch, and it's more unique than just giving away a crappy PLR report that anyone else can offer.

Obviously, there's more to it than this... but take the technique and use it!

    Cheers,
    Daniel

The best products for editing are U PLR

    These are unrestricted PLR.

    As always, check the permissions.

Some product owners have really clouded, and confused the marketplace, to hawk their goods.

MRR means Master Resale Rights so if you have MRR then it means you can do anything with the product such as sell it as whole, divide it into parts, repackage it, or transfer the resell rights to someone else.

I noticed that the same PLR product can be sold on several different PLR sites with slight different restrictions. How does one go about finding out who is the REAL owner (not a reseller) and the CORRECT PLR retrictions for that product?
      Thanks.

There's 2 broad types of Private Label Rights licenses.

The first is where the license allows the holder of the license to transfer/pass on Private Label Rights on to others (Transferable PLR content).

The second is where the license doesn't allow the holder to transfer/pass on Private Label Rights on to others (Non Transferable PLR content).

        Non Transferable PLR Content
With Non Transferable PLR content, the only way that you can get Private Label Rights to that specific content, is to buy it directly from the PLR content provider (i.e. the source that created that PLR content).

There is an exception to this. When PLR content providers sell Resell Rights to their Non Transferable PLR content. Here, the resellers can sell the PLR content as PLR content. However, their buyer's get Non transferable PLR content and can't pass on Private Label Rights.

Same PLR Product with Different Restrictions?
This can either be a result of a PLR product creator licensing the product under a very, very broad PLR license that allows the buyer to not only sell the PLR product as a PLR product, but also allows them to adjust/add to the license terms.

Alternatively, it could be that the buyer thinks that they can sell the PLR product as a PLR product, under different license terms... even though they can't.

        Tracking the original source?
In the situation that you mentioned, it'll probably take time to track the original source. As far as how it's done practically... probably search for the earliest date that the PLR product was made available.

You can avoid this situation by buying Non Transferable PLR content directly from the PLR content provider.

Is there any way to know that you are buying from the owner?

It seems that most MRR and PLR comes with a license to do X and Y but maybe not Z, but doesn't identify who is granting that right, nor does it identify the copyright, which if there is a valid one may or may not be enforceable. Also, in the case of PLR how can someone defend against a lawsuit if they are sued?

I bought it from a website and there was a text file included that said I had the right to use it?

The easiest way is to buy directly from PLR content providers that sell non transferable PLR content. In other words, buyers have Private Label Rights to the content, but can't pass on Private Label Rights to others.

As far as how to identify a PLR content provider... you can tell this by looking at their site. If the license mentions that Private Label Rights can't be passed on, then there's a good chance you're buying from a PLR content provider.

There are various signs that you can see by looking at a site, that will help you identify whether the site you're buying PLR content from, is a PLR content provider, or a Reseller.

If you're uncertain about a site, then you could always try to contact them and ask whether they are the creators or just acting as resellers.

If you want to see examples of PLR content creators, I've created a list of established PLR content providers over here.
