How to replace sliders on WP Sites?

I just got this slider in a plugin:

My client wanted one of these sliders on his site, which a lot of themes do not have.

So I need to remove the slider from a theme and put this one in the theme. Now I assume it depends on the theme, so is there a general process for doing this?

    I usually work with drupal and it has been awhile since using WP, but the process is pretty much the same with all CMS's ....disable the current slider (block, or module in drupal | widget or plugin in WP), enable your new slider (module in drupal | widget or plugin in WP) make sure to place in the right block region(drupal) and then find the interface to upload new photos and edit txt. Nivo slider is pretty cool with some great features.....sometimes I have had to get into the actual code of the page and replace it in order to make it work....all depends on how the current theme/template is structured
