How Many Squidoo Lens Do You Have?

I just started working with Squidoo and I was unsure of how to proceed. Either put a lot of awesome content on just one lens, or break down the content into different lens and it be less meaningful?

So it got me wondering, how many lens do you have? Are they all the same niche? Do you drive traffic specifically to your lens or just SEO the heck out of it and send it off to the world?

      Squidoo is just another web 2.0 site - user generated content. Its much like Hubpages or WetPaint. A "lens" is just a clever way to say "web page". So basically you can put up a web page using Squidoo.

      Squidoo also has it's own community which can rate your page and make it more popular. Squidoo pages (lenses) also get indexed by Google rather quickly, which is good.

      It's just another great way to market your content / product / affiliate program / website / etc.

    One lens per niche / product. You can cross-link related lenses. Break the lenses up into different modules - people online don't read stuff - they scan stuff. Keep modules short. You want them to be able to scan your lens and get the point in about 20 seconds. Then give them a call to action.

    Point some bookmarks to the lens. Most people do some SEO on the lenses, and use them to drive traffic to their sites. If you don't have a site, then you would to a lot more seo (off page) on your lens drive traffic to it.

    I'm getting close to 200 over various accounts, some of them don't perform at all and others are dong great..

    I usually do a few lenses per niche, varied keywords etc..

    I use them TO drive traffic and also drive traffic TO them.. they are good for backlinks, and good for search engine ranking..

    Lenses with more content tend to do better in the rankings. You can get away with as little as 3 modules of content...but if you browse the top ones in each category they are generally very fleshed out and popular.

    With my own lenses I use them to drive traffic to main sites, but I also bookmark the lenses and drive a few links to those lenses to help boost their rankings. Still, my results with Squidoo have been hit or miss.

    I have 5 lenses in my main niche. Each lenses focused on a different keyword and they are linked together. They are great for driving traffic to my opt-in page, and I get a few affiliate sales each month from them.

    I think the number of squidoo lenses you make would depend on what you would use them for. Usually a long, thorough lens does quite well in generating traffic. If you are building lenses to build links for another site, you would likely do better by producing a high number of lenses. If each lens is focused around a tight niche, it would likely get search engine rankings easier.

    For one of my websites we have over 50 squidoo lenses. They don't send much traffic, but they help our search engine rankings for our main website.

    i have created over 700 lenses so far and i am working on more almost everyday. It was easier before but after i have discovered several more powerful web2.0, i just couldnt wait to get my hands on them as well
