WP Plug-in that's "like" Facebook/Myspace

hello all,

Quick question... is there a plugin for Worpress out there (free or paid... I don't care) that you can use to turn your site into an online community ala facebook/myspace?

I know that there are "membership" plugins out there, but are any of them "online social communites"?

Any help would be much appreciated.

I haven't used it myself, but I understand that you can create a
social networking site using Wordpress Mu plus

Buddy press will create a simple community. But if you are looking for more advanced features I would look at other options.

I'm using ning.com as the backbone for BadmintonSpace - For badminton addicts... - am using premium service that runs about $65/month which allows your own Google Adsense and video brander, not to mention drag & drop customization.

Video hosting by itself will cost you an arm and a leg so at $65/mon it is really not that bad.
