I'm at the point where I'm considering online project management options, and I'm looking for suggestions. I am considering Basecamp as one of my options. Here's what I need - I need to be able to create a separate file for each press release client, and there could end up being hundreds of them. I need to be able to put all of my email correspondence and notes in their file, as well as keeping track of what they've paid me, when, and the deadlines for their projects. And I want this to be online because I'm going to be outsourcing some of the writing and I need my writers to be able to go in and access the clients' files. Any ideas? |

Basecamp is great, but you have to discipline yourself and train your outsourcers and clients to use the email messaging system within Basecamp if you want your messages grouped there. I suppose that would be the case with any system though. I really how Basecamp allows you to create "task list templates" which you can then import into any project. Quite helpful. |

Basecamp might be overkill for you right now, but you might want to learn to use it! I have seen it manage $1,000,000 + Web projects with ease. No reason not to start thinking big!

Well, I am not at the point where I have million dollar web projects...yet! The thing with basecamp - if every client is a separate project it gets quite expensive - because the monthly fee is based on how many projects you are managing - and also they don't have phone support. |

I've been researching for the same exact question a couple days ago, you might want to have a look at : - 5PM : 5pm - Project management, task organizer, team collaboration and time tracking software - ProjectOffice : ProjectOffice.net | Online project management software |
