Thoughts on Google Knol

Has anyone looked into Google Knols as an effective marketing medium? What kind of luck are you all having with Knols you have published. Any theories as to preference Google may give the information in them?

It seems like they should be a good marketing tool, and get indexed somewhat quickly, a la Blogger pages, but I'm not sure. My knols don't show up in google searches, but my ezinearticles do, even when I use the exact match option in my search.

Also, I haven't found a way to add Analytics to them either. Not seeing any traffic from them in my stats as well.

So the jury is still out in my book.

      Thanks Dallas!

If anyone is interested in taking a look, I published this one a while back on Men's Suits
Men's Suits - a knol by Antonio Centeno

It is already in the search engines, and what I like is that I can control it and have, in a sense, a direct link from Google! If you visit, please leave a review or comment!

        That's a nice knol!

How did you get the TOC up there in the corner? I haven't seen that before.

          Dallas,

          Thanks for the encouragement!

If by TOC you mean Table of Contents, you need to use the format button when you edit text and H2/H3/H4 the titles as appropriate. It creates the TOC automatically.

Yea, I don't think it is cached as quickly as Ezines, but the potential here is huge and it's just a matter of time before Knols start to pop up as a top ten result on every search inquiry the same way Wikis do.

I am finding about 10-20 hits per day to my websites from knols.

I currently only have 3 knols live right now, but they have been out there for about 2 months.

I have heard good things about it but haven't tried it myself, yet. Would appreciate tips, if any.
