Quick question. My friend recently joined Clickbank. He is a hacker. He wants to know if it against the rules to market products through email. He has like 30 million emails.

It's against the rules to send spam if that's what you're referring to.

No, it is not against the rules to send mails to others.

There are many clickbank vendors who send mails to their list which subscribes to them while buying the product.

There is nothing mentioned in their TOS that you cannot send mails to others.

      This is wrong, Harrie.

There's quite a bit in the terms of service explaining exactly why sending emails like this - thankfully - isn't allowed, and they're understandably quick to ban people who do it.

If you look for yourself, rather than guessing, you'll see (within seconds!) that it's actually the very first of the "don'ts" listed there: https://support.clickbank.com/entrie...Dos-and-Don-ts

Your friend needs to learn to read people's terms of service before doing business with them (but I suppose "hackers" have some difficulty learning things like that, which are so self-evident to the rest of us, perhaps because they have so little respect for others anyway?).

He also needs to formulate his questions more appropriately, doesn't he? It isn't against the rules to market products through email under some circumstances, but what he proposes to do is expressly against the rules, and he'll be banned very quickly indeed, if he tries it. Thankfully for the rest of us, who can ill afford the collective reputation of internet marketing to deteriorate any further because of the stupid behavior of idiot spammers/hackers.

    Hi,
Well, like you probably understood already-Unfortunately, yes, it's illegal. Marketing products through e-mails is spam and In 2003 the Can-Spam act was signed in the U.S.A. One more important thing your friend should know is that sending out a commercial email must by law include the sender postal address so that people can contact him if required.

    Hopefully I helped (-:

I doubt that even 30 million email addresses will compare to a genuinely relevant list of one or two thousand people who have opted in. When I receive spam emails they are deleted instantly, whatever the offer. Spammers bring disrepute to the whole business.

Definitely this is unethical to spam others email account with email marketing. But lot of them still do by scraping email id's using special software's. Affiliate Network's will ban the account of those doing this if they trace out from where this happens.
