How Do You Maintain Your Mailing List?

Hi Warriors,

I am currently managing a couple of mailing lists in different niches. The numbers are not really huge but I find maintaining the list difficult.

I usually send them 4 newsletters a month (sometimes even less) which the contents I took from PLR articles and 1 offer a month. However, I find maintaining the list a little troublesome because my mailing list became really boring and people started to unsubscribe.

I'm just wondering how you guys maintain your mailing list?

Please share.

Set up a REALLY good autoresponder series.

Send 1 email every day for 4-5 days.

Then space it out, 1 email every 3 days. Then 1 email every 5 days. Then 1 email every week.

You should have an autoresponder series set up for atleast 2 months.

In the midst of the autoresponder series, send out roughly 1 broadcast email per month promoting either your own product, or one that you REALLY think will benefit and help your subscribers.

Don't just send an email to send an email. It needs to be really really helpful, and something that, if you subscribed to your own list, would be interested in receiving.

The problem with many list owners is that they either send too many hypie sales pitches for products with no free, helpful content... OR they send free content, but it's garbage and ends up going straight to the subscribers trash can.

    Hope that helps.

It is important to keep content relevant. Create promotions to keep users reading and expecting your email. If you have the ability to create a contest that is a great way to keep users intrigued. In addition asking users for their opinion or feedback on your mailings is key - take the knowledge and put it to use.
