YouTube Unveils Real Time "Interactive" Video

This one looks interesting:

In it's attempt to make YouTube more interactive and compete with the popularity of Twitter and the other popular social sites, YouTube will now allow you to see if your friends are watching the same videos you are and actually interact with them.

YouTube RealTime Video

This could be the beginnings of a great tool for webinars we have become accustom to in the IM field.

Your thoughts?

Hmmm,

After thinking about this for a bit, I'm not so sure this is a good thing.

I run into some pretty weird videos from time to time and I'm not to sure I'd want the entire world knowing that I watched it, either not knowing what it was on the link from a friend, or the off chance that it's a bit off color.

I can see it already, "don't do business with Scot, he watched..."

I just skimmed the page but I think you only turn it on when you want to. I agree that that you would want control over something like this.
