Ok let me clarify that

You should stop being A SERIAL BUYER. Stop buying things just because it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

The act of BUYING an info Product does not make you money, The Act of READING, or listening to , or Watching an Info Product does not make you money.

The Act of TAKING ACTION and doing something makes you money

You can get a Hosting Account with Hostmonster for like $5 a month. They have an affiliate program so if you refer ONE PERSON A YEAR to get a Hostmonster account it will pay for you hosting for a whole year.

An Aweber Acct is like $20 a month. They have an affiliate program so if you refer a few people it will pay for your account.

With a Hosting Acct and an Autoresponder Acct you have EVERYTHING you need to build a Massive Internet Marketing Business.

You can find just about every other tool for free

For the most part any info products you buy have information that you can basically get for Free on this Forum .. For the MOST Part

The advantage of buying an Info Product is to save time and get the info al in one place. but you have to Act on that info

Note: I'm not trying to be a know it all here. I have been guilty of buying a lot of stuff and not acting on it as well

Thanks Thomas, I notice in your signature you offer coaching

I think that if someone can find a good coach that they can afford that's a good use of their time and money as well

Bottom line ... You can find all this stuff for free but it's gonna take time and trial and error

You can compress that time by getting TARGETED info products or coaching

But sooner or later you are gonna have to stop studying, learning and analyzing and start doing. or better yet LEARN BY Doing

I think "Stop studying" needs a little bit of re-phrasing. Although I really know what you meant, I think you should never actually stop studying. Maybe stop for a while and see what you have learned and use it properly. Then you should start again. It is like a continuous process.

Excellent post. I think what you just covered is the process of becoming a professional in Internet Marketing. Lots of people start out buying everything they see. I know people that have spent 10's of thousands of dollars on the latest products. I only spent a couple thousand because I was always broke.

They say it takes about 2000 hours of study and work to become an expert in any subject. I think that's kinda true, but you don't have to wait until you have your 2000 hours in to get started. I know a tree removal company that learned to do trees on YouTube, started getting business, then read books and became professionals. But they made over 60k their first year in business with just YouTube videos.

You can do it, don't wait, get started now.

Ha, ha - great point Rod!

I'm not a big fan of stopping all learning and studying. Of course, we need to be taking action, but over the years I have learned many things from others that when implemented, turned into more leads, more customers, more automation, overall a better business.

If I had to suggest a ratio it would be 1:4 - spend 4-times more doing than studying, but certainly I would not suggest stop learning.

Sometimes learning means buying products, sometimes it means studying actual busineses and what they are doing and sometimes it means networking events...

The key is that you have a plan, you take action and focus your learning around improving your plan or enhancing the short term actions you are taking.

What can be detrimental is operating too long without a plan and just randomly between approaches trying to boil the ocean...instead, having a focused plan and learning around that plan is the way to go.

You definitely need to do, but don't stop studying. We can always learn something from someone. If someone thinks they know everything, they will eventually fail. But you are right, everything can't be perfect so you do need to act.

Great post.

You are 100% right when you wrote "The Best Way To Learn is to Do".

Getting your hands dirty, day after day, making mistakes and learning from them, finding out what does not work in order to find out what does....

This is the best way, IMO, in any field : locksmith, repair person, mechanic, etc. Well, maybe not brain surgeons, we don´t want them learning from mistakes too much

I think it is clear what Jack means: not literally to stop studying, but to halt the mindset that uses purchasing products and needing to study as an excuse for not getting out there and doing it.

The 7 secrets to success are not secrets of course. They should be obvious but alas many of us lapse into bad habits and we need to be reminded from time to time of what we should be doing!
