    Hello Vajavaja16,

Use common sense. If the auction is done automatically (as in using a third party escrow), then the domain is sent to you automatically.

If the auction is done manually (as in that person must send you the domain), then the transfer depends on that party, not on GoDaddy.

    Good luck,
    Razvan

It doesn't depends on GoDaddy. As RogozRazvan said, this is an automated system. As far as I know GoDaddy is not a scam website. If they would be, than they wouldn't have several millions of customers.

godaddy has nothing to do with it
also try to contact the seller and arrange that the auction must be with escrow

Godaddy will not help you in any manner. I've lost my $100 (not a big money) for the same.

It doesn't makes any matter of High PR site. They will not care if the seller don't transfer the domain after getting his money.

Firstly, you know as well as I do that Godaddy are not a scam. They might not have a good reputation, but they are not a scam. I've never used them.

Secondly you are spouting off without knowing the result. The other thread you quoted was from someone doing the same thing -admitting
I am going off hearsay in the forum
As to it being PR8 for $150 - that alone should raise a huge red flag for you. It will almost certainly be fake PR. I also doubt that it has "huge traffic" - probably huge numbers of fake visitors sent from fiverr gigs.

You need to do some serious due diligence on this one and stop spouting off without knowing what you are doing or saying. It isn't good for your reputation here.

In that case I would seriously wonder why they are selling for $150. For example, I would presume you will get the domain name and NOT the content.

      So it's a $250 a day site and you'd sell it for $150?

      No.

How do you know this isn't fake PR for 100%?

Here's what I think. You have a domain with massive PR, millions of visitors and a great place in the SERPS, 15 years old...

If you're so convinced it's genuine, why are you bothered about risking $150 on it?

Probably because it sounds to good to be true and it probably is...

It is good post but useless for me...
Actually, it seems to completely answer your question. Are you sure you read it?

Thank you for contacting Online Support. After you make payment, we move the domain name to your account within two weeks of the auction's end. We cannot move it sooner because we are obligated to hold it until the current registrant's redemption period ends. If the current registrant renews the domain name during the redemption period, we refund your purchase.

GD is not a scam, and their auctions site is actually valuable. When purchasing a domain at GD or anywhere else you must do proper investigation of the site, no ways around that. There are few gems out there, but very few (or none) PR5+ will not attract attention from automated scrappers\apps looking for those sites. PR8 for less than a 1K.... very doubtful.

I have been using Godaddy's services for over 10 years and I have never had a problem.
I have bought and sold ... around 20 domains vi their auctions and again never had any issues.

I regularly buy domains, and hosting services from GoDaddy. Never had a problem. I know some on wf like to bash GoDaddy, but my experience has been very positive.
