Looking to take ACTION, but I'd like to hear your opinions first!!!

This is my very first post on this godsend of a forum; seriously, this is one of the few places on the internet where I don't feel like I'm being sold something all the time. Plus, the fact that the information I keeping finding is the same kind that people sell as a product only sweetens the deal for me. I wanted to first express how much I value this forum .

Now here's my query:

I've been delving in IM for almost 2 years; I've made some money every now and then, but I've never been able to generate a constant stream of income. I believe the problem was that I was drinking "The MAKE MONEY SUPER DUPER FAST Kool Aid" heavily and I never stuck with any one method for more than a few weeks before trying another. I tried to use seperate methods at the same time, which yield no result. In spite of that I never gave up with IM because I knew that there is money to be made.

I'm about to start studying for my Bachelor's in August and I've decided that I want to establish a system/venture that can generate money that can, at the very least, aid me with living expenses. Presently, I have two main ideas in mind and I'd really love it if you could critique and give me some opinion on it:

Zazzle- I plan to mainly focus on designs containing trending/popular quotes for the t shirts; i may also canvases, skateboards for now. From a marketing standpoint I'd use mainly social media - fb, twitter and pinterest accounts used solely to promote the clothing. I'd use paid traffic initially from fiverr - I do believe that there are good gigs with a following consisting of young people which is who I'm targeting. After I would have gather a decent following it just be a matter of putting out new designs and ensure that my following doesn't become static.

Affiliate Marketing - I've decided to use Commision Junction over Clickbank this time, because CJ has much larger marketplace (although I think my location - Grenada - may be causing me to be unable to apply for certain programs). I'll use CB later for some of it more evergreen offerings. I haven't exactly chosen the market i want to target as yet; It depends on who accepts me.

Offering Site Build Services - Basically I'll build websites for free as long as the clients purchase the hosting, domain etc. using my aff. link.

That's all I have considered right now. One of the things I read throughout the site is that I shouldn't get trapped in the strategics section for so long that I end up not executing anything. I want to start of with ONE and run with it, but I'd like some outside perspectives and opinions. So please, let me know which one you think I should endeavour on first and if you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

Thanks

Sounds like your Zazzle idea is more thought out and you will most likely be more successful with it. That being said though there is a lot of competition. I feel like FB would be your best friend for this.

You could create ads for season, holidays, special events whatever.
If you know people graduate in May perhaps in May have an ad that says get your graduate a custom tshirt and target 17-19 year olds that are in HS or there parents if they are friends with them.

I think you're well placed in Grenada to develop quality (wordpress) websites for local businesses - charge a reasonable price plus you can make on the hosting as well.

You could also build Twitter and Facebook pages for these businesses (Use Fiverr) and build a list of subscribers at the same time for yourself so that you can continue to have a relationship with your subscribers whilst offering them quality "how to" products during the process.

The traffic generation gigs on Fiverr are generally quite poor so you may want to consider off line marketing on the Island - Leaflets around town or calling up businesses to tell them the fantastic things you can do for them can work well.

You have a great deal of potential where you are to really dominate simply because of the size of the Spice Island :-)

    Hope this helps

The Internet marketing for local businesses is actually something I had planned. I'll be working on that with my brother. You're right about the size and how much potential is there. The thing here is that the majority of Grenada's populous isn't up on using the internet for searching for businesses. so the amount of traffic may not be much as yet. But I plan on targeting business locked in with tourism so that the targeted market would be larger.

A very good name given. Not only you, it is the problem with most of the newbie who are willing to earn online. They thinks, there are something magical which can create millions of dollars overnight and they thoroughly run after that. Here to there and finally ends with 0.
You must be steady in order to get an earning stream. Choose the way you love the most and try to learn more and more about it. The more you will learn, the more effectively you will be able to utilize that way to make money.

I would go for Affiliate Marketing, something that involves MLM
MLM is NOT affiliate marketing, and vice versa.

MLM stands for "most lose money."

The best way to contact me is facebook. So if you really want help with it, message me on facebook and I will help.

I was going to respond with the quote re "I was drinking "The MAKE MONEY SUPER DUPER FAST Kool Aid" heavily" but Alex Greene beat me to it.

It's good that you are recognizing that as most people keep drinking until oblivion...

Your idea about offering free website set up is a good one and I know from experience that it will work. Other people than your countrymen will be able to reach you. If, in addition, you offer locals your services (they could be a little bit more involved) you can then charge way more and you'll get hosting commission and domain name commission as well.

Good luck with your online business and your studies as well

I was pretty big into Zazzle before and even found a way to custom code a site in PHP so that it would look like a real site but just have affiliate links coming from Zazzle. I ended up scrapping the project but some people were making some good money from that stuff. I still have my own Zazzle store which I somehow manage to make money on it still even years after I essentially left it. I'll probably throw in a few new designs from time to time. No point in letting cash go to waste even if it is just a $100 or so every couple of months.

Thank exactly what I'm thinking. Every penny counts right about now. Plus that's what i like about Zazzle. Generate a decent store and a good enough following and you can almost set it and forget it
