Newbie Help

I find all types of useful advice coming from all Forum buddies. I just Green so I need to know lots of basic things like:
1. How do you get a domain name and get it registered?
2.How to submit webs and blogs to search engines and directories?
3. If i do not submit to the Search Engines and directories my site will be unlisted and unaccessible?
4. Are there Hosting Companies which do all this along with the hostings?
5.Is there any automatic solutions?
6. what all actions to be taken if you want after your site design and content is ready on the computer but untested?
Sorry for the ignorance - Thanx in advance for guiding.

    Hi Sudhir.....

    1) Namecheap.com
    2) You don't need to submit to search engines they will sniff it once you're up
    3) No
    4) Don't think so I use hostgator its very good
    5) No... Forget the 'just press a button' thing....
    6) Get it up and test, tweek and test!

    Hang around here and you will learn in no time.. read the threads on the subjects you want to know about.

    Hi Sudhir,

    i agree with Morton on this one, that is a hell of a lot of information to explain to someone, if they admit themselves that they are "green"

    Chris has kindly supplied a list if answers, that most here will understand and agree with. However, i'm guessing it may not mean a lot to you.

    I think the first thing you need to do is a little research on these subjects and then you may find yourself in a better position.

    I would use the search facilties, both here @ WF and in google. Just type in your questions or keyword phrases into google or at the top of the page here (marked "search") and that will give you a wealth of information.

    Once you've familiarized yourself with a few features and benefits of the different services, then please come back and ask what questions you have on your mind then!
