twitter post (t.co) showing in google instead of my actual site

If you do a google search for: meat grinders for home use nichepage rather than our url showing up to our site the twitter url shows up I'm guessing as a result of a twitter post. Why is the t.co showing up instead of my site and how do I fix this?

Thanks for any help

You cant fix it per say, what you need to do is put up a sitemap on your page. So a bot crawls it. Submit it in your google webmaster tools, and build some backlinks to your site. That should take care of it. Either way its still pointing to your webpage so you're getting your traffic regardless.

We do have a sitemap that we submitted maybe 3 weeks ago. Not very confident in that being the issue...Any other possibilities?

Does your webmaster tools show that the google bot is crawling the page? Get some backlinks like said, that might do it!

Is your domain by any chance penalized? Or is your domain still in search results?

Go to Google and type in site:yourdomain.com

That will inform you if Google has actually crawled and indexed your domain.

If your site is not yet indexed, the are simply showing the link they have indexed for your search terms, and if the user clicks that link, they should automatically be carried to your domain.
