Does anyone have an idea of how to test a list of 2oo+

what do you do when you want to test out your list of subscribers

your answer is much appreciated?

Have you been sending them "Free" valuable information along the way? Or, have you been just building a list and all of a sudden want to try and promote a product? If that is the case, I would recommend a free report or two before asking them to make a purchase.

I would send out a survey asking your subscribers what they want to learn more about. Then give them what they want. I use the 80-20 rule, 80 percent of what you send your list should be valuable information with nothing to sell and then the other 20 percent can be promotional.

That is gold right there, this man aint speaking nothing but the truth .

Is your list targeted? And if it is how have you been building it, and what are you trying to test? Open rates? Clicks on a link? What are you trying to find out?

Wow, you're the OP and you are just now responding to a post from almost 4 years ago.

What's up with that? Did you never test your list?

I reckoned you meant click open rate.
For the newbies, it simply meant how
many subscribers open your email message..

One easy way is to send a series of valued
information such as ebook, videos, etc..

you need to average out the clicks over at
least 5 emails (your subscribers might respond
    differently to different swipes)

You should work toward having at least 15% click rate..

if you are talking about verifying email addresses on the list, just send a "DO NOT RESPOND, we are verifying email addresses for our upcoming program, but please DO tell if you receive more than one copy of this message"

serves two purposes and introduces you as a concerned friend

      my 2¢
