Default Basic JV question - does niche matter for success?

Hi, there,

I'm gearing up for my first online endeavor, and I wasn't considering doing any JV's just because my niche seems really specialized. After spending some time here, however, I am starting to reconsider.

But the thought still perplexes me - is it worth it for me to go after JV traffic if my niche seems like it's not the type that would even GET a lot of JV partners.

(Just so you know, my niche deals with a self-help/spiritual-based subject matter.)

Thanks for any help, guidance, and insight, and have a good day, all,

- Paul

Why would you not get JV for self-help/spritual stuff? I see many people hawking suck products you could partner up with them.

Self help is a big niche I'm sure you'll find many, many people to JV with you.

Thanks a lot.

I guess I'm just going to have to dive into a "JV for beginners in non-IM niches" WSO...

(Anyone got any suggestions?)

Thanks again,

- Paul

It's all in how you look at it. I've never found a product that couldn't benefit from a good JV. Last night, just for fun (you know you're a marketing geek when...), I started thinking about possible JV opportunities for the restaraunt I was in. It was a BBQ place, so I thought "maybe they should offer to sell Tide pens to customers." Seems like a pretty specialized niche, but both companies can benefit.

I guess what I'm saying is that sometimes you just need to adjust the way you see yourself, your business, and your product before you can come up with good JV ideas. Best of luck!

With regard to the Internet Marketing community (i.e. the people who you are looking to JV with) the majority of people on those lists are into self-help. I would argue that it is the rule rather than the exception that home business entrepreneurs are also into self-help.
So the short answer to your question is yes.. you should go after JVs. But when doing so, be sure to note how this is going to benefit the lists for the person you want to JV with.
