I will spend every dime I earn to achieve my dream

I am 18 years old. I am in high school full time and I work at McDonald's about 30 hours a week or more. I don't have much free time on my hands, but I'm willing to spend money on my venture. What should I do? I wanna build an affiliate site and advertise it with Bing or Google ads. I am not sure if this would be best for me. I would like my work to earn me at least 500 dollars a week. Which is much more than I make now and will easily support me as I go on to college. I have my own Paypal, bank account, and I am 18 so I can do anything I need to make this happen. My dream to build a marketing empire that will take me and my future family into old age. Or at least until I can build a career. What route should I be considering?

Being an affiliate is a good route to go. You can definitely start the way you say you plan on doing it.

You just need to be willing to constantly tweak those ads until you make decent money.

Tyler. There are a few routes to consider.
    1. Become an affiliate
Sites like clickbank and jvzoo will give you a good percentage of sales made. Amazon affiliate program pays less, but the traffic will be great and the buy percentage will be higher.
    2. Create your own info product and sell it on your website
When selling your own product and being an affiliate as well it is good to have a subscriber list. Keep in mind you do need to pay for an auto responder such as getresponse if you create a newsletter.
I use wordpress to create my websites. It is free and once you learn it you see how useful it really is. Plus there are many free themes you can download for it.
This may sound funny, but I have learned so much by searching on these topics in you tube. Example: Create a website using wordpress
There is a lot of free advice out there if you put the time to search for it. There are also some good programs out there.
With any route you choose remember learning something new is a trial and error process. If you don't succeed at first just learn from the mistakes try again and eventually you will get to where you want to be!
    Hope this helps!

Great! You have the drive for the goal, You must have the focus and decipline to follow the path to your goal.

Having said that, there are reliable ways to generate income online. Needless to say there are work involved, that means you must learn and implement over time.

Think about what are your strengths and your passion. Based on that you can make an informed decision.

    Key areas:

Affiliate Marketing (you promote other people's products/services)
List Building (building a list clients interested in a particular product or service)
Products creation and launching (information digital products etc.)
Providing a service by yourself (writing articles/contents, graphic design, and other)
    Blogging - (Long term plan)
    ...

You can head over to fiverr dot com to see what people are offering as a service or a product

    Hope this helps.

I think for one so young, you can do well with affiliate marketing by selling stuff that is cool for young adults since you are one of them, you will know what they want.

I believe you can also do well on FIVERR by offering your specific skills there. Since your objective is $500 a week and you re willing to do anything, then FIVERR will be a good ground to hunt for gigs as you develop your skills.

I also suggest you also make a note of your progress and record them as you go because your story told right a year from now can probably give you all the money you need for college. PEOPLE LOVE STORIES, PARTICULALRY THOSE OF KIDS MAKING MONEY. so. something like: DIARY OF A KID WARRIOR will be a good sell for newbies down the road

Start building an email list with a software like Aweber.

I have been online for a couple years and nearly all the sales I've made have been because I built an email list. I just wish I started sooner!

The best way to go (in my opinion) is to pick a product on the topic that you want to build a business around.

Make sure they have an affiliate program.
Buy that product and learn it inside and out.
    Buy Aweber, GetResponse, or TrafficWave
Create a squeeze page offering something related to the product.
Create at least 10 helpful follow up emails based on the product
Share your affiliate link at the end of each email
Grab some tracking software like trck.me
Drive traffic to your squeeze page
    (forum marketing, solo ads, YouTube)
    TEST, TRACK, AND IMPROVE!

Sure, this is quite a list of things to do. It's NOT easy and will take quite a bit of work. It's completely worth it and once you develop these skills, it can become second nature.

Damn, I probably shouldn't say this much in this one post LOL
