Why Is It That Some Backlink Checker Sites Show Different Results?

I have tried to see how many backlinks my sites have, so I tried few sites, and I got different results from every single one, why is that?

Another thing few checkers showed hundreds of links on Yahoo, but none on Google, aren't all the search engines supposed to see the backlinks if they exist??

    Don't rely on them.

    Use Google Webmaster tools.

    It might show you less result comparing to the other but Google's webmaster tools back links are really worth which Google actually counts to give a website rank.

    Because the internet is a lot larger than any single service can index. In order to get a bigger picture of your backlink profile, you should combine several services including Magestic SEO, ahrefs and Google Webmaster Tools.

    Some of those are expensive but worth the money if you're a full time internet marketer.

      Agreed..use these free tools and collect them all...and paste to an excel file and remove duplicates...
