How to promote ClickBank products without a site?

Hi guys,
So I've been researching for a few months now.

But I now want to give it ago, but I'm starting small just by selling a few CB products.

What I want to know, being a complete newbie is how can I promote and sell a CB product without a site, email list, etc. I haven't got a very big budget either; about £200 / $305.

Above all of this, how do I start to make serious money online?
I'm not completely stupid and I have put months of research into this.

Do I start a site first, a blog, then start to work on my list?
What should I make my site about, ME or a particular product that I'm advertising?

How much money will it cost?

Just everything, it would be greatly greatly appreciated!

Thanks a lot!!

Luke

    I don't know.

    I can't.

But if you find a way to do that, you find a way to do that. With apologies for sounding discouraging, the last person with whom I had a conversation in a thread here about doing that had had 3,000 visits to his hoplink/sales page, which resulted in the grand total of 4 sales (of which 2 were refunded). And I think that was probably, overall, 2 sales more than many people get.

Don't do this, Luke. Selling ClickBank products as an affiliate is a hurdle course, as mentioned here. Doing it without a site and without a list and an autoresponder is like competing in a hurdle race with a blindfold on and wearing my shoes at the same time. There are better ways of expending effort and energy. And ways from which you can at least learn something.

If you have a good "free report for the opt-in" (costs nothing to produce) and a good squeeze page, you might be able to make a start and earn some decent money without a blog. But don't try a blog without a list. Is my advice.

Here the paths diverge. Either can work. I do neither.

Personally, I never make the site about the product (and not about myself, either). I make it about the niche. I want people on my list who respect me as a provider of information they can't get anywhere else. Even if it's only a little bit of information. If they can't get that information anywhere else, they need you and will grow to respect and trust you. ClickBank sales are built on trust. Your recommendation has to carry weight with them. It won't (in my opinion) if you've clearly "set up a site to sell a product". Not everyone agrees with me about that - there are also some people making some sales from "product promotion/review sites". At least, they say they are.

Very little. I set up my whole for business for under $100.
