Hey Warriors,

do you think that these JV events are really useful??

I completed a couple of events, but the number of clicks that I received are very few compared to those sent.

Perhaps these events are really good only to the organizers??

I believe it is essential to head to the possible CASH prizes, but where to find some events with prizes?

I noticed that 99% of the events haven't prizes!!

Thank you guys!

I have tried quite few of them. At the start i use to get more optins when JV giveaway just came out. It is not a bit of out of fashion ! In order to get a good number of subcribers , you probably need to sign up to the organizers upgrade package. But I dont like the quality of optins - they just freebie seekers !

I was the 2nd person ever to do a jv giveaway. It was just 3 months after Mark Hendricks did his first 12 Days of Christmas giveaway.

On March 17, 2004 I did Immediate Success Sweapstakes. I did my giveaways without software. There was no giveaway software available. But now that there is software to do giveaways they are coming out of the woodwork.

You can join any where from 15 to 20 giveaways every month. My advice if you are not doing your own giveaway to join as many as you can every month. Just mail to your prospect list (people who have not purchased from you) and you could easily get 300 to 700 new subscribers every month.

The best gift to give away is software. You will get more opt-ins with software. Make sure you begin promoting products and quality content to these people as soon as possible so you can turn them into buyers.

I have been very successful in turning these kind of opt-in subscribers into buyers. So don't let people tell you this is not a quality way to build your list.

So I hope this has been helpful,

I know people that say they have had success with them but my experience was that it was huge waste of time.

You are one of many trying to get the attention of freebie seekers that you helped to send there. Part of the requirement for participating is to send traffic to the event and the people that send the most traffic, get to be higher on the list.

If I can send enough traffic to be on the first few pages (of possibly 50), why wouldn't I want to send that traffic to my own opt-in?

Next, you end up on all of the other j.v. "partners" lists that host the event so you need some throwaway email addresses for them.

Finally, the people that end up on your list are some of the worst responsive freebie seekers I have had on any list.

    Just my experience.

I agree with the thought of Steve...

I think if you point to list building, you should participate in all the events simultaneously.

Personally, I see it similar to a swap, but with the chance to win some good prizes, so I'm interested in events WITH prizes.

But I have noted with regret that the cash prizes are rare.

So, the only ones who really make money, are the organizers of the events.

Does anyone know where I can find a list of JV giveaway events with cash prizes?

    Thanks!

Everyone here is not thinking about a very important list you can build with jv giveaways.

First, everyone participating is building a list. So all the jv partners submitting gifts have some kind of list. The great thing is that most of the scripts require the jv partners to post a support email address.

You go to the giveaways and get all the jv partner's email addresses and when you have a project or you want to do a giveaway, You will have a list of several hundred list owners that you can contact and see if they would participate in your project.

A jv partner list can be much better than a buyer list because you can now leverage the list of all these other list owners. So if you do things right, you can build a very valuable list from jv giveaways.

I hope this has been helpful,

What have you been smoking? lol

You don't really believe that do you? Nothing is better than a buyer's list. We all know that 20% of our customers provide 80% of our profit. The sooner you build that 20%, the better.

You said that most of the people going to the j.v.s are looking to build a list and I agree with you. I have been able to build up a bigger list fast from giving away list building gifts at the j.v. events.

The answer to this post is in our experience with list builders and j.v. events. They are trying to build a list so that they can sell something. Not buy something.

The lists that you build through j.v. events are people just like you looking to build a list to sell to.

Now I understand... I should not expect much from participation in these events!

Where can I find a list of all these events in the niche of internet marketing / Make money online?

I will try with someone else of these events to analyze the results.

Here on WF I noticed a special section for JV events, but at the moment there are only two events published!

    Thanks again.

A great way to find new JV-Giveaways is to do a Google search for "JV Giveaways". A site I've used in the past and has been around for awhile is newjvgiveaways.com

A while back I used JV-Giveaways to build my first mailing list to the tune of about 750 remaining on my list after about 15 giveaways, most of which I paid for the upgrade option.

Usually you can giveaway a single product for free, but if you have multiple products often you need to upgrade. The more products you offer the quicker your list will grow.

As far as conversions go, I eventually closed the list down because I was involved with other things, but want to state clearly that the small list I just mentioned was responsible for my first affiliate sale (two of them on the same day actually), which was built from this JV-Giveaway traffic.

Take it for what it's worth. I know there are other methods people use to generate leads quickly, but it's a great way for newbies to get started.

Just a word of advice though is that I likely would have gotten better results if I sent different messages to the different niches my products were targeting. Seemed like I had about a 10% open rate for my emails, which were all in the online marketing niche. However, within online marketing there are subniches as well, which would probably be a good idea to specialize in. To target one of these sub niches (i.e. blogging), you could give away freebies only in that specific niche, and not other niche freebie products (such as banner advertising or SEO). That will likely make your list more focused and specialized.

Looking forward to your success whatever route you take!

      Happy Marketing!!!

I found the best way for me to make money from giveaways was to only enter ones where you won a cash prize for most subscribers etc. Lots have top 5 prizes or 'most subscribers in next 48 hours' style of prizes.

You could spend $100 on solo ads, for example, to try and win a $150 prize.

It's not always that simple and you need to pick giveaways where you think you can win more money than you spend.

I made more money from winning prizes than I ever have from emailing my list (which probably says more about my emails than giveaways! )

I found that when I signed up to JV giveaway events and then paid to upgrade, I still did not get that many subscribers. I decided to sign up as an organiser of an event once and ended up getting 1000 subs from one event, which was great. Its a good idea to run your own JV giveaway event, but you may find that only a few of them will buy anything you sell, and many of them just want all the free stuff.
