How would you advertise to Warrior Forum members?

So I've launched a new web service that warriors would love. It's a free service so a WSO isn't really appropriate, and I've submitted a banner to try to advertise here but haven't gotten any response so maybe you have to be a long-time established member to do banners here.

Anyway, that's where I'm at now ... trying to figure out the best way to advertise and reach warrior forum members, and other marketers like them.

I'm thinking solo ads would probably be the most efficient way to reach as many people as possible quickly. Not sure I have the time but I'm thinking of hiring someone on a part-time basis to spend a few hours each day lining up and managing a ton of solo ads for me.

Anyone have any other ideas for me?

This is a cool new service that people are loving. I just need to get enough people using it to get that momentum it needs to really take off ...

Why would a WSO not be appropriate? I see lots of WSO's that give away products - people do it all the time to build a list.

Although I don't know how much action you'll get as I'm under the impression that most WSO's get the bulk of their traffic from affiliates. Or maybe that's why you said it wouldn't be appropriate?

Why not? The WSO forum has thousands of visitors daily...
You can create a free WSO to give your site exposure, it's only $40 for potentially thousands of visitors if your product is any good.

Ok, lightning Lee beat me to it but we both agree...

?? ?? Are you and OP same person...

No sorry for the confusion I just hopped on my business partners computer for a bit and didn't realize he was logged in here.

I guess I could try a WSO, it just doesn't seem like the right fit. Plus I believe it says you HAVE to make some kind of special offer. Well, if my site/service is already free, I'm just not sure what that special offer would be ...

You can put your service in the WSO or Warrior For Hire sections. A tiny bit of research would have told you that. If you can't figure something to simple like that out then I question how valuable your service will be because you probably haven't done the research properly.

Why don't you share your idea with War-room members, if it is so hot, then others can also try. To attract more people within a short period of time, you can try WSO.

The best way is to create a Free WSO.
though you need to pay 40 bucks for the
    tread.

It is really useful for me.
My Previous Free WSO got me 300 leads.
    and a couple of buyers.

Why don't you create a signature file and put the offer there?

You can do a "free" WSO. It does cost you the listing fee ($40), but a lot of people launch free WSOs. You could also put it in Classifieds section of WF.

You could also put it in your signature.

Thanks for the replies. I don't think I can do a "free WSO" since my site/service is already free, and the sticky in the WSO forum clearly says you must offer a special offer that isn't available anywhere else. I think a "free WSO" would only work if you normally sold your product for $37 for example, but you gave it free in your WSO or something like that. Can any long-time member confirm? Or is the rule just not really enforced??

I don't think there'd be a problem with that. Pretty sure you could still do a free WSO even though it is already free, but I'll hit the report button and ask a mod.

I doubt we'd push that one much, but there's an easy way around it that's entirely within both the letter and the spirit of the rules: Add something to the offer that's only available here.

Wouldn't have to be a big extra, considering the $0 price tag.

And thank you. Most people just assume how things would be handled, rather than asking. That is very much appreciated.

[IGNORE THIS]I would ignore that as many WSO's are using the exact same jvzoo or warriorplus buy button on non WSO sales pages so they are not offering anything special to the forum.[/IGNORE THIS]

I would go for a classified listing as its cheaper and will stay on page 1 longer.

Put the offer in your forum sig as well.

Thanks for the reply Paul. I'll work on that.

One more quick question while you're here ... what's the deal with the banners?

I submitted a banner at least a week ago. Never heard anything, and when I just checked it seems like the banner I uploaded that was pending has been deleted by someone. What exactly does this mean? The banner was acceptable per the rules, and the site is an awesome free service, so I can't imagine it would have been declined. And either way I haven't received any communication about it.

Also, I'd be real interested in doing a banner for say at least 30 days straight. Is this something that could be arranged? I see another guy who seems to have at least 2-3 banners in rotation here every single day, and I just doubt he's manually renewing and making new payments every single day for them ...

    Thanks!

    Many ways...

    1) Make a product and then list it as a WSO.
    2) Give away a WSO for free.
    3) Rent a banner space right at the top of WarriorForum.
    4) Use your signature to direct users to your WSO or whatever.

If you see that in the WSO section, please report it. We close offers for that.

      TD,

I don't have anything to do with approval of paid ads here. By all accounts, you have to be on your toes to get one of the banner spots. Once they're approved, you need to pay pretty quickly or it goes to the next in line. Beyond that, I'd go back and re-read the rules if you think it was rejected.

As far as I know, there's no way to buy banner space for a month in advance.

Put it up on the free WSO section. Beats trying to pimp it surreptitiously through the main board.

Well what the heck is the free service anyways?

You are doing a pretty bad job of advertising it here if you have made 5+ posts about it and you still haven't even told us what it is.

Also, adding a link in your signature to it is the least you could do!

Well I'm not really interested in blatantly promoting it in a thread. I don't think that's what this forum is for. The site is called TrafficDial if you want to look it up. I'm working on setting up a free WSO and I'm hoping to do some banner ads here too, but if you read the original post I was really looking for some input on other ways to reach members of the warrior forum and other internet marketers like them. So for example I'm interested in doing solo ads and that type of thing. I'm looking to do paid advertising - I just don't have the time or desire to try to get traffic by posting on forums with a little link in my sig if you know what I mean. That would probably get me 10 clicks a day if that. I have a rather large advertising budget to spend - that's what I'm interested in doing.

Go ahead and try that and you'll get your thread nuked! Very bad advice.
