I would have to say, share it on social media.

If it's good, maybe it'll go viral and people will do the sharing for you.

If its a good video with potential for virality, use social media. You may also want to build your subscriber base on youtube either via word of mouth or online marketing. That will definitely help with the viewership. Also youtube has an option where viewers can 'opt in' to receive emails when new videos are launched. Try that too

I suggest you subscribe to the video forums here. Seriously though I learned quite a few tricks from there. I won't give them all away but a lot of them are pretty simple obvious things.

For me I saw my views/subscribers shoot up ever since I started posting some of my videos on reddit. I also started pinging a few of the videos but not sure if that helped. I also set up a Twitter account and Facebook account to post videos to as well but I think reddit made the biggest change for me.

Also make sure you have the right keywords for your niche. If you were looking for your specific niche what keywords would you use? I noticed that one main keyword that I would use wasn't being implemented on my videos so I added that as well.

Finally I'll add that if your video thumbnail isn't distinguishable then you'll probably lose a lot of views to that. I changed all mine to thumbnails I created for my site. So each thumbnail looks like an image rather than a screenshot (I do video tutorials). Good luck.

TRUE! Thumbnails are often neglected. I just uploaded a video that addresses video thumbnails -

      You're not giving much information.

Hopefully, you know SEO since it is so simple and you have done that already. A little on page SEO and some social bookmarking is good. Will get you to rank pretty fast, depending on your niche. But, you don't want to know about these.

      A Press Release can help.

Paid Ads: Google, Facebook, Bing. I prefer Facebook. But you want free so forget these.

Social Media sites like Facebook, Twitter and Google+, Pinterest are good, but you need to have a following to really benefit.

Reddit is amazing. You can get lots of traffic there. Just don't spam. Find a subreddit category. Build up a presence, then talk and add your video link. Some of the users there can get weird about promoting, so be careful.

Using software to post in facebook groups is ineffective in most cases. You may get lucky here or there. But seriously, you will get views faster by just following people on instagram or twitter for free.

And if you have a decent video you will get some love in the form of likes, subs, etc.

Ping it on Pingler.com first and share it with all those social sites that Youtube already has for its videos in the Share section. Also submit that video to sites like Vimeo, Viddler, and DailyMotion and ping those links too.

Some Fiverr gigs actually give you legitimate views which you could use to jump start your campaign. But be careful because not all of them could be trusted. Read reviews very carefully if they have even 1 negative I would not trust since it is your YouTube account we are talking about for your business.

Also once you find the person you can stick with him/her for a long run and get cuts on bulk orders.

Assuming your video provides value to the target audience, you should reach out to bloggers in similar space and let them know about the video. DONT ask them to promote the video. Just tell the blog owners that their audience might find it useful. Let them make the decision

If you can think of the places where your target audience usually hangs out you should try the following two approaches:
1)Your video provides incredible value - Then just approach the controller of the web space and let them know about it.
2)Your video is useful but not incredible - Buy out some ad space at places where audience hangs out.
