Where should I Host My Affiliate Program Clickbank or JVZoo?

Hey Warriors,

I am working on a new project at the moment and will be wanting to promote the product with either Clickbank or JVZoo. From your experience, can you suggest which platform I should use. The product is a WordPress plugin which is targeted to the IM niche. Thanks for you advice in advance.

I'm a fan of Click Bank. Then again, I'm originally from Boise ID. I could see their building from the window in my math classroom... It's how I learned to count money

      Why not do both?!

Ya I guess I could do that. Never really thought about doing a multi-platform affiliate promotion. Might have to look into this.

In my opinion, it would be pretty unwise to use ClickBank for this.

Very, very few serious pro-affiliates at ClickBank will be willing to promote a ClickBank product targeted at the IM niche, because of their awareness that so many of their potential customers will themselves already be ClickBank affiliates. People who are ClickBank affiliates themselves are hardly going to buy a product through someone else's hoplink, when it's perfectly legal for them to buy it through their own.

That's why so many of those "IM niche" products at ClickBank tend to have very high gravity but low numbers of sales (their gravities inflate dramatically from all the people buying one copy each through their own links - it doesn't mean that anyone's actually promoting it at all).

Again, that would probably lose all the serious, pro-affiliates.

Very few (if any) serious, pro-affiliates on ClickBank will be willing to promote a product that also has another sales page elsewhere, where their ClickBank affiliate cookie won't help them. (Few people buy at their first visit to a sales page.)

This subject's discussed in more detail in many other threads: here's just a small selection ...

Can this be a leak for a ClickBank product?

Clickbank plus my own shopping cart?

Re-Name my Clickbank Product & Sell in Other Marketplace?

question about selling a product on clickbank

        Where To List My Product

The bottom line, on this issue, is that if your product has another sales page elsewhere, you might lose the potential to be promoted by 5-10% of ClickBank affiliates, but those will be the 5-10% of affiliates there who collectively make something like 95%-98% of the affiliate-referred sales, so it's pretty important to avoid this.

JVzoo is on fire now. Clickbank just update their site, may cause some problems.

I've never tried JVzoo but CB has always been great to me (in the IM niche) so I would recommend them.

    Good Luck!

You can do both. And while you're at it you can add it to other platforms and marketplaces like E-Junkie, Digibilly, etc.

Just bear in mind they all have different rules, so you'll probably want to set up a separate sales page and affiliate page for each network that you sign up with.

With apologies for appearing argumentative, please excuse the observation that in reality this is a very poor idea, for exactly the reasons explained in post #10 above.

There may be 90% of affiliates to whom it doesn't matter much, but those tend in reality to be the ones who make very few sales: it matters a lot to the far smaller group of "professional affiliates" who collectively bring in almost all the affiliate-referred sales.

Paradoxically, doing what you suggest, therefore, may make a positive difference to the number of affiliates you can get, but it may make an enormous (and negative) difference to the number of sales.

I guess you could use both as already suggested above.

Personally, I've moved away from Clickbank and I now use JVzoo. Just find it much easier to use and it's handy for instant affiliate commissions. And you don't have to wait for approval if you're selling for less than $97.
