You do not really have to blog, you just need good content or articles on your subject.

I have set up plenty of sites using Wordpress but posted as pages and not blog posts.

I then worked on links to the sites.

You can start promoting a tool. For example, think about a field you like, or a field that would you like to talk about. Even if you are not blogging, you will have to promote what you are selling. Stay out of health or other too competitive niches for begining.

Go to hotscripts.com or any other script software and search for php or javascript scripts. Find something that you find interesting and most people use, for example ( i am just giving an example but you should not do this because they are too competitive ), a mortgage calculator, or a bmr calculator, bandwidth tester, proxy checker, browse trough hotscripts and you will find a lot of ideas. Research the amount of searches they receive first, and the competition. Then talk about it and promote it. Then you can add more tools. If you manage to get traffic, you can display ads. Once you are established, you can pay some programmer to improve your script to make it unique, think about what features would help that are hard to be found elsewhere and pay someone to code it. Then make it paid.

Not sure, how my area will make money form an online business.
I am proficient on Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering.

I can code in php/mysql/html/css and can do photoshop work. But I am not sure how to establish an ongoing business online using my limited knowledge

Content, blog. .. these things will not earn you money.

You have to learn how to sell.

Be it an ebook, a tool a software, a video course, subscribtion

You earn money only when you sell something.

So #1 thing is to find a problem in your niche and fix it.

No idea? Then look at your competitors. Unless there is no market in your niche, at this age, there will always be competition.

Check what they sell and then do it better.

Engage in forums and ask people, listen to them.


THEN after you have a product to sell.

You build a blog. You share free content. You gain people's trust, position yourself as an expert in the niche. And then you sell your solutions.

Easiest way: Cature email addresses and do email marketing. You can do so through a blog.

Post regularly and get SEO and social media traffic. Then have an email capture block on your blog. And start getting subscribers.

Offer value for free to them. And then start selling.


Or you can buy solo ads in your niche. And get quicker subscribers.

Or you can buy adword ads.


Whatever you do, first create something that will earn you money. If you have nothing to sell then you will sell nithing and earn nothing.

once you make some money with it, start a blog and add a unique content
then you can buy some backlinks and do seo to your blog

Well out of 500$, I would invest certain portion for mentoring.. Who can help me initially with less cost, might be 100$ for mentoring..There is a catch, good mentor who is really making money online might not agree for so less.. What I would do is, negotiate with him.. Give him fixed fee of 100$ and share a percentage of my earning when i start earning.. that would make him motivated.

You can do many things to make this amount online, but forget the word ‘passive’.

Everything depends on a lot of work. Even when you manage to build a passive income online it still depends on promotion, so you always have work to do.

I'd personally invest the money in building nice landing pages to affiliate offers and then targeting paid traffic to those sites to generate affiliate commissions.
Once you learn this, you can start teaching others to do the same!

Yes, $500 as a capital for a simple online business is enough. You can try affiliate marketing or promo create and promote your own product. Many people or even our fellow warriors can help you start with your online business.

Facebook/POF/Google/Bing ads leading to a squeeze page where you get their information(email) and send them stuff over time.

This way you profit both ways:
1) From customers purchasing your offers(affiliate or own)
2) Sell solo ads
