Which HOTEL Affiliate Program is best?

Hi guys,

Which Hotel affiliate program do you recommend?

I see that CJ has lots of them to choose from. For those of you that have tried a few, which one have you found to be the best paying?

Thanks!

I'm using Agoda on one site and it's fine.

Their affiliate tools section isn't the best. Their instructions on how to test your links are working are laughable too they actually say that to check it's working you should go ahead and book a hotel that has free cancellation, wait and see if the sale gets credited to you then cancel it....I mean seriously?

One more question (while I'm at it):

Anyone know of a theme, plugin or script that will allow me to build a travel/hotel site and somehow integrate with a hotel affiliate program? (if that makes sense... )

    Thanks again.

Have you heard about Travelerrr? It launches your travel affiliate site at just $295. I checked the website and found the technology impressive. Thebettertrip.com runs on the same solution. I think Travelerrr is something you can consider for starting travel affiliate program in 2014.

Hotel Club option offer seems good. Here is how much they pay :

For each new client making a RatesToGo booking, you earn 4% of the gross booking value of the transaction generated by your website. On top of that, you are able to set a fixed booking fee which will be added onto every booking and paid to you as commission. Your booking fee will be set on top of the fixed RatesToGo booking fee and will appear as one whole amount to the client.

Yeah, HotelClub looks interesting. It's just odd that I've never heard of it before.

Anyone know of a solution similar to this with one of the more well-known players (like Hotels.com, Booking.com, Getaroom.com, Expedia, etc)

    ???

      It's ALL U.S. traffic and U.S. destinations.

Thanks, but does Agoda mostly focus on International? I'm much prefer a program that is U.S. focused.

Have you looked at Hotelscombined bro? They pay per lead. How do you plan to promote in the hotel niche? That's a competitive one to crack.

          Not to sure about Hotelscombined

I started with them a few weeks and have slowly been building traffic to my website.

But the stats do not work out?

Their website says only one visitor in two weeks but the tracking used on my site says 41 visits resulting in 10 forwards?

Also found a few stories about people not getting paid off them.

What about Agoda.com - they pay up to 60% commission depending on how many sales you generate.

I've read review after review saying that this program cheated affiliates, or didn't pay them, or dropped them from the program without paying them, etc.

          No thanks.

recently I have lost more than $8K with Agoda,
They has been banned terminate and forfeiture of my commission with irrelevant reason.
they don't pay my recent earning before banning.
    Don't joint Agoda.

The other Agoda issue, they start skimming your affiliate ID, and replace with Agoda Staff CID.

Years ago I tried to join booking dot com but they declined me because I own too similar web domain. Then I joined Hotelscombined. I get small payments, but it was something small every 3-4 monts (depends their payment delay). Week ago HC contacted me: we found you have trafic but no bookings (you cant see bookings into statistic) so we turn payment counter to the zero.. I already feel every end-winter time they had payments problem. Some of the messages:

    • 2014-03-26 - ... As a result of your recent lack of booking revenue, your lead values have been set to zero by the system.. So we will be more than happy to help assist you in getting your account back on track. ...

Nevertheless they get my traffic for last 2 weeks they stop me now with earning money because I have counter to ZERO. I tried to register again with new mail but one other guy send me mail: immediately remove all Hotelscombined scripts from the site regarding brand issues. I dont recomend building businees with HotelCombined it seems company destroy partenrship regarding new staff come or go / or their finantial problems. For me is Hotelsacombined scam and corporate shi*. Now im searching for fair-play partner.

The problem with all hotel affiliate programs is that you can easily not get paid if your prospects decide to put their hands on the phone and give the hotel a call. They can book a room over the phone, without you seeing a penny of the transaction.

It's customary for people to do this, so I'd just stay away from promoting hotels.

(Seriously, I wanted to enter in this niche, because writing about is lots of fun and enjoyable, but I'd rather not see my efforts go to waste...)
