Warrior advice needed (working from home)

I need some advice here. I need to find part time (or full time) employment that allows me to work from home. The reason being that I have health issues preventing me from working elsewhere.

My confidence is shot because I tried a few little projects myself which didn't work out and illness and other things keep hitting me below the belt. I find myself easily knocked if something doesn't go to plan. I think it stems from an imbalance, with very little good happening in my life.

The thing is I'll probably need training and am competing with other people that don't have the restrictions I have. I wonder if I have a chance to stand out. There are also so many sites and offers out there I find myself tuning out more often than not.

I feel so out of touch and so rusty I'm not even sure where to start. What I do know (or at least feel) is that I can do well if I get some positive momentum going. I need to "see" it happening though. I'm all out of blind faith.

I appeal to my fellow warriors for advice and to point me in the right direction. A good site that offered legitimate work from home jobs with a decent wage (not working for cents) would help. I'm not greedy. I just know the cost of living and need to be realistic.

Thanks for listening.

I've got a couple of things for you to consider. USA Today has a section on Work at Home Jobs that you can check out. The URL is Money Quick Tips: Work at home opportunities

You can also check with Apple and Sitel. Both offer legitimate work at home opportunities. I know because a friend of mine did the work at home thing for Apple for a while. From what I understand though he quit because he wanted to be his own boss and be self employed, but it may be something that might work for you.

As far as your confidence goes you're going to have to find ways of improving your self esteem and self image.

My confidence is shot myself, but for different reasons than yours.

Look at the people you want to replicate and then study what they are doing.

It's the quickest way to succeed.

Don't waste time with heaps of courses or tools. Just look at what others are doing.

I agree with you in almost every way except for the fact that you do need to educate yourself so that you know what you are doing.

What you're saying is to find people to model that are successful and I totally agree with that concept, but that on it's own without the right skills, resources and tools will only get you so far.

Success is when preparation meets opportunity. It's a balancing act.

The OP has no idea what they want to do other than to make money.

He needs to find someone who is successful and figure out what it is he wants to do.

Only then can and should you start looking for the tools needed to get you to that end result.

If you don't have an end goal in mind you'll end up wasting thousands of dollars on useless courses and tools, like so many people in this industry do.

Article writing is a good source... You can start it for free and get going quick. You just have to pick a topic that you like and know or a topic you would like to learn more about. The good thing is that you can start this free and begin getting paid immediately.

step 1. work on your confidence ans self esteem. I know it can be harsh when you have little positiveness around you. But make some friends here, among warriors. Interact and see that everybody had their own failures at some point. Do not get disappointed so easily.
step2. read a lot and "listen" a lot (as rdonovan1 and the others suggested, you have quite a few opportunities).
step 3. Don't hesitate to try on and on. It might not work from the first time. (It almost never does :-D )
    Take care :-)

      Hi Xaron,

Recently I received an email from Jonathan Leger and he is looking for writers. Below I am enclosing an excerpt from his email. Perhaps you can look into it:

"My new article writing service, iNeedArticles.com, is a
MAJOR success. We've already completed more than 1,600
      articles on every conceivable topic!

I've been approached by some major clients who want
a lot more articles written, too. In order to partner with
those clients and accept their bulk orders, I'm going
      to need more writers!

If you're a native-English speaker with good writing
skills, you're welcome to apply. Depending on how fast you
write, and how well you write, you can earn anywhere from
$8 - $18 USD per hour writing these articles.

The earning potential has gone up since last night, too,
because I added three additional services that customers
      can choose ..."

      Best of luck

I think that the first thing that the OP needs to ask themself is what they are good at and what their strengths and weaknesses are.

Think of it this way. You are selling yourself, so what do you have to offer someone that would make you stand out from the competition. I don't say that to be mean or to attack your already shot self confidence. I say that because you have to look at it from the position of the concepts of positioning and branding.
